Alternate!!!

Got a letter in the mail today saying that I am an alternate for Weatherford Colleges Associates Degree program. I am so excited that im on the list but nervous that I wont get a seat because people have to decline thier spot for me to get in. What do you think? Has anyone gone to WC and have any advice?

    I don't know about your college, but I was an alternate and got called the last possible day. Needless to say, I had given up hope, and then I get a phone call! Good luck!

    I applied for this fall and was denied. I was #14 on the alternate list...now I am #9. This is nuts!! I just can't stop thinking about getting in. I heard that last year at my school they went through 20-some alternates. The director of the nursing department told me that I probably won't know anything else until July 1st...when all the requirements must be met (CPR, background check, physical, etc). This means that I have to carry on as though I am getting in on the one hand -and meet these requirements...but forget about it on the other hand. AHH!!

    Awesome! When is your orientation? We have a 2 part orientation. Our 1st one was May 2nd. Part B will be 2 weeks before fall semester starts. We have quite a bit of things to do before then (vaccination records, background check, fingerprinting, uniforms, books, ID badges, etc.)

    I think the part that made it feel real was meeting my fellow classmates at orientation. :D
