Good for you!! Congratulations on your success :-) You will do great!! Just stay laser focused and enjoy it. I just finished summer semester today! I get a month off and then we will start back mid August and go 9 more months. I really needed a break. I am a SENIOR!! Woohooo! It really goes by soooo fast. You will meet some of the most amazing people in your class. I am really sorry you have endured so much at such a young age. You can really empathize with others, which will be an important ingredient in becoming the amazing nurse you are called to be. I was the same way you described about being very scared the minute you realized it was all really happening!! What an exciting journey you are taking in your life. I am 32 years old. I am liking my thirty's :) Anyways, you will form a family in your class. It will be great! You are going to learn so much!! I am very happy for you, and I am sure your family is, too. I got the call this morning! I'm in! I officially have a permanent seat in the nursing program for this fall. I am sooo excited and nervous!!

Well, I attended orientation a couple of months ago when I was just an alternate. Class starts August 15th! Now, I have to get my uniforms and all the necessary accessories. I am very very excited ...and quite nervous, too.

You could also just laugh at her ignorance and then say "wow..I am surprised that such an ignorant comment would come out of such an educated woman....I know you didn't actually mean what you just said....lol"

My fiancee's sister lives 100 yards from my house and she has been a THORN in my side!! She has always resented me and I have always tried to be kind to her -except I have lost it with her a few times...lol Anyways, I have realized that people like this don't actually think they are better than you...deep down they feel less than (for whatever reason) and they want to try to pull you down below the level that they feel they are at. I am learning to completely ignore her negative behavior. She feeds on any static between my fiancee and me. For this reason, I even urge him not to say anything to his sister anymore when she is talking negatively about me. This disarms her and she has no "ammo." I just hope that she can one day realize she is just as important as the rest of us. Don't sweat it...just feel sorry for people like that and hold your head up and stay laser focused on your goals. You will do great! BTW: I had been on the alternate list for the RN program at my school and I JUST FOUND OUT TODAY THAT I'M IN THE PROGRAM!!!! I wish you all the best in your journey....

(Green)That is great! I will have completed everything after A&P II ends in a few more weeks. I have taken a few courses towards a BSN, however, financial aid will not pay for anymore of those courses. They have assured me that they will help me when I actually start the ADN, so that is good. It sounds like everything worked out for the best! I wish you all the success!!

Yes, the wait list is only for this upcoming semester. They don't have a fall and spring entrance, so the next possible slot is next fall 2014. I know that if I don't make it in this year that next year I will be towards the top of the list, because I will have a greater score. My A&P class points were not applied to my score because I had not taken them yet. I have, since, taken A&P I and made an A last semester. I am currently enrolled in A&P II and currently have an A. Are you in school now green34?

I am in an area where the closest school is 30 minutes away...the next two options are an hour away...we are not allowed to apply to both RN and LPN at Beaufort County Community College. So, at this point I will wait and hope ....I really hope you get in!! Keep me posted!!

No not yet... I hope to find out something more next week. Our packet has to be in by July 1st. I have completed everything (CPR, background, etc) so I will send it in on Monday. I was told that I had to have it in along with everyone else because if/when my name comes up that if my packet was not submitted by then that they would skip over me. I have had to spend quite a bit of money on immunizations, CPR, chest x-ray, background, drug screen.....you get the picture! lol Anyways, that is a lot of money to spend if I don't get in....so...you got in at Pitt -right? I am soooo happy for you!!!! That is awesome
