You can call me Cedeno, and I'll be applying for the MDC nursing program for fall 2013! I've been excited for awhile now, especially since MDC (and all its red tape) has delayed my intended apply date twice (originally Fall 2012, then Spring 2013). Ah, but no worries!
Right now I'm taking my last bit of classes before applying: A&P 2 w/lab, Micro, and Critical Thinking/Ethics. I've seen many nursing students this semester-- which is wonderful-- but at the same time I think two words when I meet another pre-nursing student: "Awesome! " and "Competition! " (Not seriously, but in a jokey kind of way.)
Once admitted, I'd love to form a study group. Size isn't quite so much the priority as cohesiveness is (though size counts!). I'd love study mates who like to utilize chats like Google talk, Skype, Kik, etc. for times when perhaps we'd like to study something but cannot make it to a physical location.
I'm a visual and auditory learner, so I love highlighters, dry-erase boards, and discussing questions together to ensure everyone understands rather than one person offering up the answer and others just accepting it without knowing.

....Also if you take the TEAS twice is it highest score used or last test taken?
Hey guys...I was in the advisement office the other day and I saw a sign about the fact that they are going to no longer be using the TEAS assessment anymore. They are switching over to another test...so be sure to get some information for those of you that will be retaking the reapplying! Didn't get more info or notice what dates they will be starting that, but just wanted to give you a heads up :)
@ Carisma, I am starting the BSN this fall at MDC. Will be taking Saturday courses right now. Orientation was yesterday, nothing really new for me since I did my ADN there too, but it is good to learn that the BSN is more flexible now. Carisma, for sure stay away from online classes, I heard from several former classmates who started online switching to face to face because it is just too much. They have this chair for the BSN with last name Ditto, she seems very approachable. Are you starting in the fall?

I know i feel the same way its super frustrating but at least we still have hope. I have been super anxious as well!

Hi Carisma, I opened a topic in the General Forum actually - Miami Dade College BSN 2013 - General Forum, and today I realized that it was in the wrong place. I am still hoping that anyone in the BSN Fall 2013 at MDC, will see it and post.
I found this website so helpful while doing my ADN, that it is why I wanted to open a topic.
We are going to need each other to go through the webs that we will be going through.
To everyone else applying at MDC, I got my acceptance letter on June 13 for the BSN, that was for the first round. They wait and see who will not accept, so then they go to the second round. BSN orientation was this week, and I know the seats are full for that one, not sure if it is different for the ADN.
