hi all, checking in! my classes are divided up into two separate "units" and you have to pass each one on its own. my first class starts february 18th, the final is on april 9th. then we go on to the 2nd unit april 21st and the final is on june 11th. yep, two separate finals to pass! i go mondays & tuesdays 650 to 1340 (clinical), wednesday is lecture 800 to 1150. the units are:

developmental and health deviation self-care requisites for women and newborns

developmental and health deviation self-care requisites for

patients with a chronic illness

pray for me, i hear most people fail at least one of these!

val, it is the same where i am although reversed in the the class we are doing first but have to pass one to go to the next, all in one semester. yes, two seperate finals!

intense is the word and too heard this was a hard semester for a lot of students in the pass.

prayers will be said and do the same for me. i will give it my all and know you will do the same.

all the best to you and every one!

isn't it wonderful to know we have allnurse friends going through the same thing! i thought it was only our school that was whacked... :kiss

half the class takes chronic first the other takes the ob first so it was just luck of the draw on what i got assigned to.

Started back yesterday ( Wednesday). Clincals are Med-Surg and Psych. Had orientation today at the state mental hospital and one hospital where we will do Med-Surg. It was a busy day with lots of driving. The mental hospital was first and it is 50 something miles (in Tuscaloosa AL) from my home and then we had to go to hospital (UAB in Birmingham) approximately 50 miles from Tuscaloosa! I am tired just from the driving!! LOL

I am looking forward to getting started in clinicals. We will start the Wednesday after Martin L King holiday.

Class starts on the 13th. I am finally in the transition class from lpn/rn.This semester is all on line except for 6 actual class sessions and 40 clinical hours. Then summer semester and I finish in December. Yeehah!

Hi :D

We started back Tuesday night and in about an hour I head to the hospital to research my first patients for this weekends clinical... They want so much more info for Nursing 150 (Mostly Pathophys and Med Surg stuff ) I need some good drugs to keep me up late to get it done and then to get up at 6 and head in ;)

Hi! We have two classes this semester - Maternal/Child and Med/Surg. We have lecture three days and clinical two days - Thursday and Friday - one day in Labor/Delivery and the other in Med/Surg. I'm pretty excited but nervous, too - just like last semester - it'll all be all right once the classes start, it's just that fear of the unknown! :p
