I need to ask this old topic that most nurses know .After being educated as a nurse with infectious diseases, everything commiunable and on and on does everybody find it hard not to be nariotic with your children i have studied infectious diseases for years just a interest crazy maybe but i find it hard letting my children do alot of things because i know what they are being exposed to. I had a girlfriends child get E Coli from a fast food hamburger know i don't let my son eat hamburgers is this wrong to try to protect my child well he takes steroids so his immunity is effected so this is why i tend to be nariotic but i find myself being limited with him it just seems that there is so many weird and different bugs around know and some many patients that don't complete antibiotics (superbugs)i could go on forever but please give advice thanks Happy Holidays, With God Everything is possible.

...---OMG---a floor you can't eat off of! ).

I was just telling someone the other day...you CAN eat off of my floor! NOT because it's so clean, but because the kids drop enough food there and don't clean it up! :roll

(Nursing school has done a number on my time regarding housecleaning!)

I agree with others though...wash hands A LOT, but let 'em play.

I cannot say I protected my kids from things unless it was overt like a room full of flu patients LOL. Everyone is different.

Ok. I am having a very hard time because...well, I have 2 kids now. My hubby and I are finished having kids and I really want to go back to work part time. I MISS nursing!

Problem is, I have a 9 month old and a 2 1/2 yr old. Well, the 2 1/2 yr old would be fine, but I don't want to leave my baby all day. Is anyone else having this problem??

What do you do? How do you deal with this?

HELP! :uhoh3:

Why do people think the majority of people in hospital have something contagious? If you look at the leading causes of death, MI, cancer and CVA will send most of us out.

Make sure your kids wear their seatbelts, wear helmets, wash their hands, and get enough exercise.

I'm not that narotic, ecoli is good for the immune system:lol2: My kids are accident prone, no matter what I do, someone ends up with stitches, broken bone, or surgery in the last few years
