7. My "supervisor" is a staffing coordinator!

9. Yes, once a year mandatory overview, skills check. I don't think they pay for outside classes.

15)All for union. Moved here to AZ from Washington state last summer. Union up there.Took a $7 pay cut when I moved here. Not only that you do actually have a voice with representation. There was a restructering a few years back and some nurses with seniority were not given the job they reapplied for. It took 2 years but they eventually bumped out the nurse with less seniority and got back pay. Some got a check for $20,000. and took a big cruise. Unions are our voice. Arizona is a right to work state that is why the pay and stuff is so crappy. (yeh I know, should of checked that out before i moved here)

9)We have a education Dept but it is understaffed and does not provide any teaching above the bare minimum

11)Mandatory overtime every other week. 3-12s one week, 4 the next

12)Rarely get breaks, occasionally get to go on 30 minute lunch break in 12 hour period.

1- LVN 2- 13yrs 3- North Central TX 4- yes I make pretty good money for what I do 5- yes I get alot of the state holidays off even though I don't work for the state 6- I have great hours 5:30a-1:00p 7- I'm the supervisor 8- yes 9- yes 10- yes 11- no 12- anytime I need one 13- Mon-Fri (an occ. Sat but only for 4 hrs) 14- all 15- no union 16- I could never do anything that might cause harm to my patients 17- I have been in my current position for about 2 1/2 years and I don't plan on leaving. I guess you could say that I have put my time in as an ER nurse running around with 80 - 100 pts a night. I'm getting old I guess at nearly 40 LOL
