Albany State University (ASU) Fall 2024 HCP to RN bridge program

Hello, 

I created this forum for individuals who have applied to Albany State University Fall 2024 HCP to RN bridge program. The deadline is June 1 and I am sure we are all waiting on our acceptance letter/email 

Was anyone else asked to send in their ATI transcript? Like everything that you have ever done on ATI (not just TEAS)? I am also being told they are pushing the application date back so they can review all applications and should hear back by end of July! Crazy...I am wondering if this is a sign of their disorganization? It's making me a little nervous. I did ask that are the people safe who have already been accepted since they are essentially reviewing everyone's application again? Did not get a clear answer on that...

Definitely unorganized... Naw, I didn't get asked to provide that, and I don't understand why they would need all that anyways. My cousin told me to make a fuss about my GPA and the reason they denied me so that's what's I'm going to do. I don't understand why they pushing the application date back. I'm so confused right now.

I am beyond flabbergasted and just speechless. I am one of THE MOST organized individuals on this earth. I called this morning to inquire about my status and they claim I have applied to the Summer and not the fall bridge. I'm sorry. I'm a LPN, why would I apply to the Summer program f my job is going to pay me for the own day a week I would be at school. So now they cannot find my application, so in the wan time, I just applied to the Spring 2025 hybrid just to cover all of my bases. I worked for one year and completed my courses while working full time and I am very serious about school. I wouldn't make a simple mistake like that. So trust me, we are all twisted like a pretzel in this situation because it angers me.

Oh by the way, they also said they're performing another review of the applications on July 25. I'm sorry, I applied from March to the program after I took the TEAS and I applied to the school in December. So even if did apply to the Summer, I still didn't hear anything back because I was within both deadlines. So make it make sense

Sorry didn't mean to post the above. I have not heard anything back about what my GPA is, can't seem to get them to respond! I don't know why I'm surprised though they have been difficult and unorganized through this entire process. Registrar and my advisor were no help this entire time.

Yep. I'm still waiting on a email back as well. Never answer the phone. I started to go up there today, but I had to get back home. So if they're still reviewing applications. Does that mean they are going to go back and review the people they denied. None of this makes sense to me honestly

@FutureRN25_ Oh nah, they are TRIPPING! How is it that they/re saying you applied for the Summer program? The application was electronic, there's no excuse as to why they cannot find your bridge application!! LIKE HUH?? I really like the concept of being in school for one day a week, that is why I am willing to travel the 2-3 hours. But now, I am leaning towards just going back to my old school where I graduated with my LPN...more days a week tho. I am pretty much over it, but still will wait it out to see if they accept me.

@LPNTORN3 When I tell you I red hot when my mom text me and told me that. Ugh. I just honestly feel so defeated because ASU is my dream school. I had everything planned out. I would go to school one day a week, graduate in December of next year and take the NCLEX in mid January and live a good life. But this has me honestly at a loss for words and never am I ever ever speechless. So this is crazy. I can type all day and night about how frustrated I am. But I won't bore you guys with it.

What in the world?! How is it that some of us got acceptance/denial letters but they can't find some applications and are pushing it back to July? Classes start in August, nit much time to get all the things together that need to be completed by then. I already sent in the form to accept my seat, so they better NOT try to say they didn't get it.

I couldn't agree with you more. But I will say I am super proud of you. You truly deserve your seat. 
 

please don't mind my rant holly. It's just pure frustration.

@futurenurseholly did they ask you to send in ATI transcript? I'm just not understanding why nobody else has gotten asked that.
