Hello, 

I created this forum for individuals who have applied to Albany State University Fall 2024 HCP to RN bridge program. The deadline is June 1 and I am sure we are all waiting on our acceptance letter/email

@FutureRN25_ yes I did background and drug screen . I had to redo it because I did it wrong. I didn't do the self pay. I hope prechecks corrects it for me Monday and I don't have to end up paying Albany state that money order . I didn't know financial aid will pay for our books. I thought we had to do it out of pocket 

 

anybody got uniforms yet?

@Bell30 I'm not sure why financial aid isn't working yet when I enter my student ID, but I'll see if I can fix that. If not, I'll have to order the electronic book and the math book on the 16th. 
I know we have to order the uniform by Wed, August 7. So I'm going to my local uniform advantage to try it on today, and then I'll place the order tonight. I'm currently waiting to do my drug test now. But I did do the background check already. I think it takes three to five business days to come back. I still haven't set up my ACEMAPP account yet to upload my documents.

@Bell30 I did my background and drug test wrong too. I'm not doing it twice though. I'm gonna call recheck and just see if I can pay them directly. If not I'll just pay the school the money back. I ordered the books and uniforms. Need to get my ACEMAPP going. I haven't set up my account either.

@courtneyw good morning, I ordered my uniform last night and it said 4-6 week wait for delivery. I was wondering, did you use standard shipping or did you pay for expedited shipping?

@Courtney W. I shouldn't have done mine twice, because I think they're going to make me pay them back too 😩😩😩. Everybody I've talked too did it wrong though LOL. I ordered my scrubs last night as well. I don't think it's going to take 4-6 weeks because the deadline for ordering was the 7th and we have to be in uniform on the 27th... but IDK for sure LOL. I was trying to use my financial aid to get my books but it's not working, I may just have to pay out of pocket. Do you know how long it's going to take for the books to arrive? & I emailed about my ACEMAPP but I am gathering all my documents

@FutureRN25_ @Bell30 I'm pretty sure I did standard shipping.  I paid out of pocket for my books. As soon as I paid for the books it gave me access codes but it didn't say how long it would take for everything to come in. If it did I overlooked it. That was a purchase that I made with my eyes closed 🤣.

It's nice to know my eyes weren't the only eyes that were closed when making the purchase 🤣😂😅. I'm going to call the uniform store on Monday morning when the open just to make sure that I did the purchase accurately. When I received the email saying it was going to arrive in 4-6 weeks, I almost gave birth to a rock. I was so nervous. But we did find out by on July 30, so I think and I truly hope as long as we have it ordered by deadline on Wed, August 7, I think we'll be OK. I'll also have to pay out of pocket for the books, but I'm going for the first option, where I purchase the two separately. I still have to do my acemapp, which I'm going to do after my lunch settles in my stomach. LOL. I still have yet to get my clothes for orientation. Did anyone get their clothes? I wonder how long we'll be there for. 

I have a laptop, but I purchased Microsoft 365 for 6.99 in the Apple Store.

I'm going to steal my son iPad LOL and I have a hp laptop, it's raggedy but it'll do for the time being. I did order me something from SHEIN for orientation. I thought we couldn't set up ACEMAPP until we got a welcome email from there. I had emailed them about that. I think if our stuff is not here on time. We should be given some grace because we got our acceptance letter so late

We should be given grace. I think the uniform should definitive on time. I've attached a picture of the acemapp instructions. I think we can get started now.

@Bell30 you are absolutely correct Bell. We will receive a welcome email, and then we set up an account with ACEMAPP. I guess I'll just start gathering all of my documents from now.

@Bell30 @FutureRN25_ I haven't gotten an email about ACEMAPP either. I just register with my own email just to look around the site and of course there's nothing. The video I just watched on it said that the school has to register us before  we can do anything with it. I'm keeping my orientation outfit very simple and comfortable. Maybe some suit pants and I might be able to swing some plain tennis shoes honestly. My drive is over an hour.
