Albany State University (ASU) Fall 2024 HCP to RN bridge program

Hello, 

I created this forum for individuals who have applied to Albany State University Fall 2024 HCP to RN bridge program. The deadline is June 1 and I am sure we are all waiting on our acceptance letter/email

OK, thank you! I'm pretty sure I did these separately, so hopefully it won't come back as wrong. I've completed both of them though. Does anyone know if we're supposed to get a student ID/badge done somewhere? Or maybe we can do it orientation day. Where can we get the TB test done at? I haven't had to get this done in years. 🤔

@futurenurseholly you can do your tb skin test at a piedmont urgent care for like 35 dollars. We took our picture for id badge when we first applied to ASU and I think they may give it to us during orientation. I'm not sure if the CVS minute clinic or Walmart may even do it.

I called the book store and they said that financial aid is available August 7, to purchase your books ...etc

@Bell30 I JUST got my parking permit. I registered for it last week but I just wade the payment. I still haven't gotten an email from ACEMAPP saying that I've been setup or anything.

@futurenurseholly apparently there's an option that says "Albany State University Nursing" and another that says "Albany State University -Self Pay"  something like that. I didn't even see the self pay. I went with the first option I saw. So I'm gonna end up paying the school.

I was in a rush and soo eager to get my drug and background test complete, that I made the same mistake. It wasn't until when they sent the second email about the instructions, I realized it is a self pay option for the drug and background test. But you have to pay for them separately. I emailed and I was told that we didn't need the parking permit because they'll issue us a temporary one when necessary.

I did the same thing..I don't think I paid for either one. It was kind of confusing when I did it too. Oh well..if I have to pay, I'll pay. @FutureRN25_ Why do we not need a parking pass? Is it since we'll be at the Cordele campus?

I was told by nursing dept. that Cordele campus do not require parking decals and if we need to go to Albany campus we will be given a temporary decal.

My background check just came back today for the one I didn't pay for . So I think I might as well just do the drug screen for the one I didn't pay for either 😩😩😩. I'm reaching out to precheck now to see if they can refund me for the second order - I doubt it , but it's worth a try .. I have the same question about the background check though

For the ones who've already ordered uniforms. Which ones are we supposed to have for clinical compared to classroom? The description on Meridys doesn't match the style # when u click to view options.

Like..it says soft flex top for clinical and che rev top for class. Is that the V neck one and then the zip one one?

Also do we have to buy another patch or does it come with it?
