Hello, 

I created this forum for individuals who have applied to Albany State University Fall 2024 HCP to RN bridge program. The deadline is June 1 and I am sure we are all waiting on our acceptance letter/email 

@Courtney W. I have the same for orientation. Something simple . Suit pants , dressy shirt and I can't explain my shoes but they casual LOL... I had emailed them about the ACEMAPP though. 
 

have yall purchased any of the supplies yet? 
like sethoscope, calculator, etc 

 

I want me a Littman sethoscope

I have to buy my outfit, but maybe a pair of pants from old navy and a nice top. I really like the shoes named penny loafers. Some penny loafers even come with different colors that I think are sooo cute. I did purchase my stethoscope, pen light, scissors, blood pressure cuff, a bag for school, a pocket calculator, uniform shoes, and my compression socks. A lot of the items are inexpensive from Amazon. Oh I also have a watch. The uniform pants can be purchased from uniform advantage. The Cherokee revolution is sooooooooooooo comfy able, especially the drawstring and the elastic waist band. The originals are kind of uncomfortable and they really do not have any give to them, well, the fabric doesn't stretch. The nurse mate shoes can be from Amazon. Everything listed above is from Amazon. I'm still waiting for the welcome email from ACEMAPP.

@Bell30 I've had a Littman lightweight that I've used for the past 15 years and my sister got me a Littman CORE digital as a gift for finally getting back into school.

That's really sweet of her. I have the Littman light as well. Am I the only person that feel like now that we have 16 days left until orientation, the time during the day is going by really fast?

@FutureRN25_ SUPER fast! Feeling like I'm not prepared. I like to have my stuff together and not being able to see that my requirements are fulfilled makes me a little nervous. It's going to be OK though. We can be each others support system and finish this thing strong!

@courtneyw I'm happy to know it isn't just me feeling as if time is flying by. I totally understand how you feel about time because I was expecting to get my decision letter in June and I was freaking about alllll the way until July 30 when I finally received my acceptance letter. I feel very nervous, but I am also very excited that we have this forum to be able to lean on one another. We will finish this strong because we have 16 days left until the first day and then 15 months until we finish and we graduate. 👩‍🎓

@FutureRN25_ That's crazy that your letter came so late! I got my mine on the middle of June but the information about what to do didn't start rolling in until much later. Either way, we've got this!!

I think it was because I was taking two electives at Albany, but initially they told me I applied to Summer and I didn't apply to fall. So I had to send a few emails to get everything corrected. But as a back up plan, I also applied to Spring hybrid and Spring bridge too just to cover all of my bases. Yes we totally got this. This will be the fastest two weeks of our life. I'm not sure about you, I'm trying to watch as much Chicago PD as I can on prime for the next two weeks. LOL

How did yall do your drug/background check wrong? Now I'm worried I did something wrong too. I haven't gotten. My books or uniforms yet..I'm working on that this week along with ACEMAPP things. I had to budget everything since it's so expensive! My kids just went back to school last week too..so it's been a crazy week.

@futurenurseholly mine just went back last Thursday , so I understand 😩. You don't suppose to do the background and drug screen together . It suppose to be done separately- I hope that makes sense , if not I will try to explain it a little better . I did order two uniform shirts- I'm going to go into the store and get me some navy uniform pants. I haven't gotten my books yet either 😩😩
