Albany State University (ASU) Fall 2024 HCP to RN bridge program

Hello, 

I created this forum for individuals who have applied to Albany State University Fall 2024 HCP to RN bridge program. The deadline is June 1 and I am sure we are all waiting on our acceptance letter/email 

@FutureRN25_ they registered me automatically. I saw a classes starting at 9:30 and the last one ending at 6:50p. I got the email today about purchasing the uniforms and books. The books are so expensive!

Books are crazy expensive and I don't understand why we HAVE to have a digital copy?! I'm old school and prefer a textbook I can highlight and flip pages! 😆 I did email her back asking about this. To me the email was kind of confusing you can order from publisher directly or order from bookstore for almost double the price? The math book was $69 and the other 2 buy themselves were $300 and $130 so I that still doesn't add up to over $700. IDK maybe I'm missing something from the instructions in email.

@FutureRN25_ Yes, I saw the classes after about 1 week after my major changed. Are u also registered for the same classes? (Pysch & Fundamentals) Have you done anything for the ACEMAPP thing yet? I already did my background & drug test but wasn't sure what were supposed to do in there.

@futurenurseholly I'd prefer an actual book too! Let me know what she says in the email before I spend $840 on basically book rentals since there's only access to it for a year. I've done my background  and drug screen as well. I haven't quite figured out what the ACEMAPP thing is yet.

@futurenurseholly so it's best to just buy the bundle and math book separately... right?  Do y'all have a laptop or iPad. I read that you can't test on your iPad though. I see a lot of people saying iPad is best for note taking though

Good Morning everyone. 
The only unfortunate part is when you try to buy your books, your financial aid won't let you for some reason. I am going to call on Monday morning. Also, did you ladies do your drug testing and background check with the new form they gave us with the self pay option? One is like 38 I think and the other is like 55. For me, it has me going to piedmont urgent care for the drug test. I noticed once my major was changed, I was eventually registered for psychiatric nursing and fundamentals.
