I have looked all over this site in hopes of finding others that are getting their packets ready and are applying to the Air Force this fall. I have not found any recent threads on this.
I am applying for an ER spot. I have been a RN for 7 years and work in a Level II trauma emergency center. I have my MSN-Administrative Leadership and TCRN. Is there anyone out there that is also getting their packets ready for October boards? My recruiter told me that because of COVID everything has been pushed back and that boards will meet in October this year. He also told me that I would be going to MEPS and doing my medical in the next 3 weeks.
I am going to the Aug OTS class, then station to Travis AFB, CA. Anyone here going to the Aug OTS? The recruiter told me it will be 8 weeks but nurses on Youtube and other areas of the internet have been through it in 5 weeks and it is called COT. What do you guys think?

Congrats! I will be going to OTS In July and will also be stationed in Travis. Your recruiter is correct 8 weeks. They are fading away from the 5 week OTS, I heard nurses now go to the 8 week one. What position did you get in the nurse corp?

I’m going in August!! Mine is 8 weeks as well. Seems like most nurses have been going to the 8 week course lately. There’s a fb page for our class if you want to join. Air Force OTS Class 21-08.

After 2.5 years of trying to get back into the service, I officially swore in as a Captain in the USAF yesterday. We are in the process of going to my first duty station as we speak with the plan to attend OTS in the near future. Ready to get this chapter started!
