Air Force Jan 2014 COT

Just wanted to start a thread to see who else will be attending COT in January and to share any info that we obtain through the grapevine.

Finally received orders!

Same here, just got my official orders at 1800 hrs. Assigned to the 59th Medical Wing, 959th Inpatient Operations Squadron, Fort Sam Houston (San Antonio Military Medical Center), San Antonio, TX.....after successful completion of COT that is. Not sure if I'm more excited or nervous about what is right around the corner... I do know that I want this wait to be over and to finally get into it. I'm still working out everyday, double insanity workouts, running, weights...studying the OTS manual I could find (not sure how current it is)...just ready to do this thing.

Hey CAPPeron I saw you tried to PM me but my inbox was full (sorry about that..not full anymore..haha) I'll see you at SAMMC in May, I have a detour to NTP in AZ first which I'm nervous about due to the fact that I have been working in a Level 1 Trauma ER that sees about 300+ patients a day so it is going to be hard for me to get out of this ER mind set. I've been kind of "lax" with my PT due to the holidays so I hope it doesn't hurt me too bad. My husband makes me do mock PT tests like once a week and I've holding steady at a passing score…just can't seem to get this run time down, did I mention I despise running :)

Is everyone getting ready for COT? Besides setting up the flight out has anyone made other arrangements? How is exercise going? We are getting close now!

I'm bringing my printer and car:) My sponsor already contacted me from the base I will be going to following NTP so that's exciting.

I am March 2014 COT also...I have not gotten orders yet. Should I be worried??

My COT date is March 2014 also. I am headed to Eglin AFB afterwards...I took my Oath on 12/10 but a week later I was contacted by my recruiter an informed that there was going to be a rank change due to some last minute changes with the AF nursing program...has anyone else experienced this???

It looks like people in your cohort found out that you were accepted mid-Oct. When did your physical exam, chief nurse interview and selection board take place? I'm an NTP applicant and I believe my selection board convenes June 2014. I'm trying to figure out when I'll find out if I'm in or not (so I can proceed with "plan B"!) My recruiter is on maternity leave so I'm in the dark! Thanks.
