Same here, just got my official orders at 1800 hrs. Assigned to the 59th Medical Wing, 959th Inpatient Operations Squadron, Fort Sam Houston (San Antonio Military Medical Center), San Antonio, TX.....after successful completion of COT that is. Not sure if I'm more excited or nervous about what is right around the corner... I do know that I want this wait to be over and to finally get into it. I'm still working out everyday, double insanity workouts, running, weights...studying the OTS manual I could find (not sure how current it is)...just ready to do this thing.

Negative, per my recruiter it could still be a couple more weeks, but that's only in my case. While I've been able to find out some details about COT and my assignment to follow I'm still largely in the dark about what's to come.

Hey group, Letter of acceptance and security clearance paperwork submitted and waiting for the official orders to come down on my "conditional commission." I will be headed to COT in January and then off to the ICU at San Antonio Military Medical Center (SAMMC). Only concern I'm facing now is housing (learning that it can really suck to be a single guy going into the service), but from what I've learned things have a miraculous way of working out in the end. Sounds like a plan, and I agree that January is taking forever to come, but I'm using the time to catch up with family and friends prior to my departure from New Hampshire for Texas. Currently, I'm a Critical Care Nurse at a smaller (130-bed) community hospital, and I'll be continuing in that role down at SAMMC. Working against me is that I have no actual military experience, aside from what I have picked-up being in Civil Air Patrol (volunteer auxiliary of the Air Force) for the past 13 years. We'll just see what happens. Have you heard anything about housing for when we finally reach San Antonio?

I was just informed on Tuesday that I'll be starting my Air Force nursing adventure at the COT starting on 13 Jan 2014. After COT I'll be heading to SAMMC (Fort Sam Houston, TX) where I'll be in the ICU (according to my orders). Huge change for me considering I've lived in New England my whole life. Looking forward to talking to anyone else who will be joining me at Maxwell in a couple months.
