I'm just curious if anyone else is applying for the Air Force FY 2019 boards as FQ that start Oct 8th? I am going in as clinical nurse but have ER experience.
The past few years the CRNA spots have fluctuated between 40-50. 20-30 slots are slated for FNP, and 3-5 slots for CNSs. For CRNAs, 1-2 years of ICU experience is mandated. The biggest discriminator has been those that have completed Bio-chemistry recently, and a successful interview with the CRNA consultant. It is a very competitive program ranking # 2 nationally among CRNA programs. Good luck with your application.
I have read about it. Last time I looked it was ranked #3. Once I'm ready, and if that's the path I want to choose, I will apply. I bought books on how to prepare for the interviews and how to make your application strong and different when I was going to apply to med school. I will for sure use it if CRNA is what I choose to pursue.
