I've bought all of books, all I need is a pen light and my scrubs, I am ready.

I check the mail every day too, hoping that the letters were sent out early.

Oh wow! If they set up orientation for July 17th. It seems like we would be getting our acceptance letters really soon! On last years thread, they got their acceptance letters around the 15th of July and their orientation didnt take place until July 31st and from the 15th-31st they had to do immunizations, cpr classes, etc... hopefully she is right & thats really when orientation is and maybe we can get acceptance letters next week! that would be AMAZING! :)

I didn't even think about that, there wouldn't be much time to get everything done if we don't get the letters until July.

Bleh, this is going to make me even more anxious.

Wow! I agree with you guys...I am now more anxious. That would be great if that information is true, so I really hope it is. I'm just ready to know already!!! Still no reply from my advisor on how many apps were submitted.

Here is the email i got from an adminstrator assistant on june 11.....Roben,Thank you. Nursing applications were just scored (GPA calculations, etc.) and sent to the Health Sciences department earlier this week. Health Sciences will finish their processing sometime this month and send out acceptance letters, but I can't assure you of a specific date.

I believe Health Sciences has an orientation for all new health science students on July 17th, so it will be sometime well before that when you receive communication.

Don't have any more specifics for you . . . I take it you are eagerly awaiting acceptance, so good luck to you in the coming weeks.

just thought you would like to read it.....has anyone heard anything else??

We have to do immunizations, cpr classes, etc.. Before we start classes??? Really?? I think i am going to throw up! :dead:

Yeah Ronenboo2, if you look at lasts years thread (just google something like: 2013 aiken tech hopefuls and there is a thread like this in allnurses.com), then you will see towards the end of it that they were telling someone who was accepted to the program but on vacation all about their orientation date, cpr class times, etc. It pretty much said that when they went and picked up the Information/Enrollment packet that they have specific dates to sign up for CPR and you have to do immunizations, background check, etc. It states in that thread that it had to be completed before their orientation which was July 31st last year. Therefore, they really only had from like July 15-July 30th to get all of that done. I am really getting nervous now!!! I hope we get our letters soon because i want us all to have plenty of time to do everything! It really seems like a lot to handle and worry about but I am sure we will all manage as long as we get one of those acceptance letters!!! Let me know if you guys hear anything! :)

Two weeks is not enough time....i still work full time too! It took me a while to find somewhere to do a tb test for me for my cna class last summer....i took that class because if you were a cna you got an extra point.....well as soon as i took the classes, took the certification for SC .....they changes the point system and now it not included in there anymore.....oh well....i still got alot out of it. Oh went to mail today and of course nothing....i think my mailman thinks something is wrong at my house, i never check the mail this often. They probably think someone else moved in here.! LOL!

I just received my package for the surgical tech program. I was accepted and the orientation is on the 17th at 9 am. It has all the information for background checks and drug screens as well as shots in the package. The cpr will be done as a group for this program. I hope we will know soon. I have to respond with my acceptance by July 1st. #bitingmynails

Cakers45, did u apply to the ADN program and the surgical tech program? If so, it looks like we would all hear about the ADN program prior to July 1st so that you can give your response about the program you are wanting to join...so hopefully next week! :)

The application deadline for the surgical tech program was May 30th as well. I'm sure there were probably more applicants for the ADN, but since that acceptance went out already ours can't be too far behind.

I hope it's next week.
