Aiken Tech Fall 2014 hopefuls!!

Has anyone applied for the ADN program at Aiken Tech? I know the deadline for applications isn't until May 30th but I have had my paperwork ready and submitted it today and the suspense is killing me ALREADY!! Just wanted to see if anyone else was waiting to get in and wanted to see how many points others had, their GPA and teas scores.

Nickh, my classes officially end today for the current quarter. So I will be taking my teas Monday and submitting in my app Tuesday because grades are supposed to be posted by Sunday. I'm excited to turn it in, but not to wait so long to hear something!

Just an update...I ending up doing poorly on the reading section and extremely well on the math, which shocked me because I am usually great at reading and horrible at math. I now have 33 points. I hope this is enough to get in, but if not I will apply for spring because I am taking anatomy II now, and could possibly get 7 more points if I make an A.

Did anyone ask how many applications have been received so far?

Yeah, the reading section surprised me too. But congrats, 33 points shoudl be fairly good, and like you said, you'll have the opportunity for 7 more points for the spring semester if it comes down to it.

I didn't ask about how many applications have been turned in, I'm nervous enough already.

Doing good here just waiting on the deadline to apply to come so that I am a little closer to when I will check my mail box EVERYDAY and not care about anything other than what comes from ATC. LOL. How are you doing Nickh?

Two more days until the deadline, then we all get top play the waiting game.

I'm nervous and anxious already, but doing well I suppose.

Jesykahope, glad to hear about the update on your TEAS exam. Hopefully, the 33 points will be enough to get you into the nursing program and we will all be meeting up in August for orientation, and starting classes together :) I have seen a lot of people that have gotten in with 33 points...of course the application pool always changes but keep the positive outlook on things.

I never asked about how many applications have been submitted..especially since the deadline isnt quite here yet. I am actually kinda nervous to hear how many people we have to compete with LOL.

Nickh, I am just as nervous and anxious as you are probably. Hopefully time flies by like it has done already this year....I cant even believe we are already about to be in JUNE!

Let me know if yall hear anything about how many people applied, etc. :)

I just got back home and it felt so good finally dropping that app off! Anxious2beanurse, I've seen a lot of forums where people were accepted with that many points and some as low as like 31, so I'm just praying that the trend stays the same this year. Lol. I read on other posts that usually around 200 people apply.

Ok, here we go, the deadline for applications is now over and now we get to wait.

I asked enrollment yesterday how many people have applied, but she said that she has no idea since they're not there all of the time, bleh.

I called yesterday just to make sure all of my paper work was received and in the system and she looked me up by my social and saw my app and was very shocked and said "wow, you did great...like really this is good." So if she said that to me I know for sure you both are in. Hopefully her reaction also means that the majority of apps she's seen have had lower points, making the average lower this year!

My advisor also said we should hear something around the week of July 4th.

I figured it would take that long, bleh.

Does anybody know what the costs will be on CPR, Shots, and background checks if we get in?

I'm not really sure, but I read in a last years thread that the background and drug test cost $130.
