Aiken Tech Fall 2014 hopefuls!!

Has anyone applied for the ADN program at Aiken Tech? I know the deadline for applications isn't until May 30th but I have had my paperwork ready and submitted it today and the suspense is killing me ALREADY!! Just wanted to see if anyone else was waiting to get in and wanted to see how many points others had, their GPA and teas scores.

Okay great! I just hate being late! Do you know if we start clinicals this semester?

Im not sure. I think that we will not be doing clinicals the first semester. I hope we find out for certain what books we will need tomorrow.

I hate being late too, but this stuff is practically beyond our control this time

Just left cvs. I wish I would have went there to begin with. They were so nice and had me out of there in about 20 min. And me too...I haven't bought any books yet because I wanted to wait until orientation to be sure.

I've heard that we do have clinicals for the last half of the first semester, which makes sense, because after the first semester we'll be qualified to obtain our CNA liscense if we want to.

Jesykahope, CVS was great, I was surprised by how quick and friendly they were there. It was much easier than dealing with my doctors office, and the hours are very reasonable.

Nickh, that makes sense that we would have clinicals because according to certified background we have to have our flu shot by the beginning of oct. And I completely agree....I was so shocked at how friendly and fast they were. I definitely will be going back there in the future instead of going back to my doctor's. I wonder why we have two different orientations. I hope we will be registering tomorrow because supposedly our payment or payment plan is due by the first.

That's more than I know lol. I'm trying to order all my books now..I've found all of them on amazon except for the fundamentals books and CDs. I can't even find them when I look online at the ATC book store.

I was lucky, I found someone selling every single book (minus the non required books) for 400 on craigslist.

Jesykahope, the bookstore gives ISBN # 9780803629158 on the bookstore website @ ATC. If you copy that number and paste it into Amazon, then it will show you the pkg deal that they offer with both books (volume 1 and 2) as well as the skills dvds. :) Hope this helps!

Thank you soooo much!! I really appreciate it. I can't believe classes start two weeks from today. Seems like yesterday we were all stressing out and counting down the days until the deadline for apps came haha
