Anyone else applying in September for the spring ADN program at Aiken tech?

I've toyed with just calling ATC Nursing dept-usually (or so I've heard in the past) they will tell you whether or not they have began reviewing applications-butttttt I haven't talked myself into 100% :)

I feel the same way, cpaschal! My husband's schedule is a little strict too (He's a fire fighter / EMT -> soon to be paramedic). Like you, I worry most about my kids with being that far. I will be commuting from Hephzibah. I originally wanted to go to Augusta Tech since it was the closest but I wasn't accepted. I was excited to hear such great things about Aiken Tech and since they accept in Fall and Spring, it seemed ideal to apply. And since USCA is right down the road, I figured why not apply there too!

I hope ATC works out for you!!! I honestly hope I just get in somewhere​! lol

Amen to that. ..I just want to get in SOMEWHERE...it's super frustrating that each school accepts based on different standards....some programs you can be highly qualified for, and others not so much. I'm praying for all of us. I hope I meet all of you at orientation next month!

I'm so glad I found this board! Its hard not to think about it constantly! lol Does anyone know if you are accepted at ATC if you can defer to the next semester?

Also, from what I understand from another board, if you get asked for ran interview at GRU, that is a good sign. So, Im hoping I will know at least if Ive gotten an interview by the end of the year before the ATC semester begins.

You can't defer your acceptance to ATC-you would juse have to reapply.

Which one of us is going to be brave enough to call the school of nursing and see if they've began reviewing apps and when should we expect letters?

I'm not sure if you can defer, back2sc but I believe cpaschal is right. I hope you hear something before the Spring semester starts!

Cpaschal, now we are starting to sound like other threads from previous years. Lol! You should call! It couldn't hurt :)

Haha! Girl, you have nothing to be scared of!

I called and spoke to a sweet lady in the Health Sciences department. She told me that the applications have not been reviewed yet and that she believes we might hear something by the end of the month but more likely the first week of November.

This is kind of what I gathered after reading threads from previous terms/ years. Chin up, guys! It's only a month away!
