agency $21 is this good ro bad?

Published

Hi I live in Cincinnati currently and make $23 an hour LTC. I spoke to an agency and they said they would give me $21 in Kansas City Missouri and have no benefits. But according to the hourly of $18.50 to work for the facility I have seen it doesnt seem bad. Is $21 a good start of point per diem for LTC agency in KC MO??

Thanks ahead of time

I dont work agency but I do have a friend who works agency in a hospital and he makes in the range of 38-45/hour. He goes through All about Staffing.

I know CNA, and aides make about 18-21/hour in LTC.

You mean LPN make between 18-21? I have never heard of a cna making more than 13-15 MAX anywhere. Thanks for al info though would love to know what an LPN makes if an CNA is making 18-21. You must have been talking about an LPN making that.

I think she was referring to LPN's making that amount because LPN's make more in a nursing home than in the hospital. The CNA's in the nursing homes make between 12-15 per hour depending on experience. The CNA's who are PRN in my hospital make 14.00 per hour, and they are entitled to night/weekend differentials.

I know in Saint Louis Graduate Nurses can make around $20 at Saint Louis city hospitals...this is as a staff nurse, not as agency.

I was a CNA for four years, the most i have ever made was 11.50/hr. I don't know where the 12-15 or the 18-21 is coming from. I'm an LPN now entry level making 20/hr.

I am a Rn and have 14 yrs in agency work with peds and When i started looking here when we moved agency work was between 18-21.I kept looking I am currently making 30 at the agency i am with now working with one pt in the home care setting
