African Nurses in the Bay Area

I was wondering if there are any African nurses in the Bay area. If so, what hospitals do you work for, in what units and how do you like the Bay area?

I am not African myself, but was in the Bay area for many years, attended nursing school there and had reason to be in some of the local hospitals. There were several African women and men in my nursing school and I met several African nurses and nursing assistants in hospitals and in nursing homes. I can't speak to their opinions of living and working in the Bay area. Most of the ones I met were Nigerian. Maybe you can get responses from those who are members of this site.

Thank you, Caliotter3. I hope to hear from some of them.

African? or African American? The latter would be easier to find and more likely to respond.

African. I agree with you, but I'll just hope for the best.

Just out of curiosity, is there a specific reason why you want the opinion of African nurses in particular? You may be limiting yourself...

anyone?

Did you post this on the International Forum? Might have better luck there.

I have worked with a couple of African nurses in the NICU, one has been at her job for a long time. That's all I know.

I also work with an African surgeon who is wonderful, he's a peds surgeon.

There are many at each of the hospitals up here but you need to post what you are looking for in terms of information. Then it may be easier for someone to respond with the information that you are looking for.
