Hi there,

I am being monitored in KY by the KARE program, use Affinity for UDS, my result came back as "abnormal" nothing further at this time. Anyone have any experience with this and what happens next? I have already emailed my monitoring agent, I am clean and sober for 6 months.....wondering what happens next? This is my VERY first screen with the KYBON!

I've been in a monitoring program for almost 3 years. I've had 3 "abnormal" results. The first time I freaked out! Anxiety attack...Chest pain, shortness of breath... I've always been so careful with what I eat & cautious about my hydration on the days that I test. I don't want to have a "dilute". The result came back on a Sunday morning. It was a stressful 24 hours until I could talk to my case manager!

She was awesome! I had a high creatinine level. She said that could be related to illness or dehydration. I looked back to the day I had tested. It was a very hot summer day. We live on a farm & I had been outside giving vaccinations to about 40 of our livestock. In fact, the other 2 abnormals happened on the same day or day after that I had some similar outdoor chores. My case manager was understanding but reminded me of the need to hydrate when it's so hot.

These abnormals have been spaced out over several months with many negative UDTs in between. I was told to email an explanation each time for my file. Nothing else happened. My case manager did say it would be more concerning if all of these were "dilute" instead of "abnormal".

My results say no result and has been like that for days ..what does this mean??

The "no results" time frame can last for a while, it really just depends on when the lab received your specimen. I have had it go for a week or more before I've had a result. Don't get hung up on the lab specimens, as long as you know you are clean and sober, that's all that matters.

Anyone know what the O panels and J panels are for?

O panel is a blood test, h panel is reg plus etg not sure for j..

I’ve gotten ‘abnormal’ twice from affinity and mine was too concentrated meaning I hadn’t drank enough. The last one came a day after I had ran 11 miles and I think my urine creatinine was 384(!) Tnpap really doesn’t care unless you have it twice in a three month period, then they want you to go see your doc. I thought if it was dilute the result actually says ‘dilute’ but I could be wrong.
