AE MSN at UT Austin Summer 2012

Published

Anybody out there applying to the UT Austin AEMSN program for summer 2012? Haven't seen any posts about our group of hopefuls yet.

Nothing here yet either. My last name starts with S. Alpha order? :o)

Well..., obviously they can't contact all of us at the same time. I do wonder how they are dealing with all of the changes. This will be fun and interesting.

I am still waiting to hear from them. Hopefully will next week so I can set it up for after finals.

Just got an email to schedule interview times for Adult Health CNS. They must be scrambling, because it's Friday afternoon and the interviews are Monday-Weds. I'm glad I'm not coming from out of town (or scheduled to work)....good luck to everyone!

I received an interview also for Adult Health CNS this morning? Has anybody with a different concentration heard back as well? and Does anyone know how the interview process is like?

anyone heard from Psych yet?

does anyone know how the interview process is like?

It's just like any interview... you sit one on one with your assigned faculty interviewer and they ask you questions (e.g., "Why nursing?", "Why this program?", "Why the track?", "What do you see yourself doing after this program?", etc. etc.)

Just got my invite for public health. Will be interviewing Tuesday/Wednesday of next week. Good luck, everybody! Let us know how it goes if you get the chance.

I just finished my theory and practicum course for Public Health! It's a ton of fun :D

Awesome! I can't wait. Do you by chance know how many spots are available for the public health track?

I honestly do not. But I'm certain that CNS and Psych are the most applied tracks, just as they were for my year.

Had my interview today y'all....nothing to fear. No "gotcha" questions. Just things you should already know from your previous research and from writing your application essay: why do you want to be a nurse, why this track, what do you see yourself doing in the future, why are you a good fit for this program. I had a panel of 3 faculty members, took about 30 minutes, everyone was friendly. They said we'd get decisions in early February. Good luck to everyone!
