follow the EC content guide...40% of the exam is psych! know the different mental illnesses and medications/coping mechanisms/nursing interventions for them, you are right there is a HUGE amount of info for that exam. Endocrine is hit around 25% as well, as renal/hepatic around 25%- know those diseases as well as treatments, meds, and complications. I follow the content guide for EC and look up things i cant find in my books! good luck

Hey!I have been an excelsior student for about a year now and am coming close to the end of my nursing classes. I am currently in health differences across the lifespan 2 (alot of mental health, endocrine, urinary, etc). I feel there is soo much information to cover for this class, is there anyone who has taken it before and can possibly point out to me some areas to focus on?? I want to try to finish the class before the new year so by January I will only have one nursing class left.. Help me out please!

Hello i know this might be away from ur question but can u please tell me what tools u use to study your previous exams
I took it a few months back, I used Saunders Nclex review. I also used study group 101. When I needed more info I used my med surg books from LPN school.
Thanx for responding! Did u enroll after or before the two exam n is it worth enrolling now or it could wait. N do u know of anyone who made it through
I only used the recommended textbooks (however i bought the older editions of the recommended so that i could save a bunch of money) downloaded the Ec content guid and used that as my syllabus. i'd read all the chapters highlight pertinent information, if they had questions at the end of the chapter i'd answer them, and if the book had a study guide and i could find it for really cheap id do the questions in that for the chapters as well.
i sometimes use RNBridgeProgram.com - LPN to RN Bridge Program | Parmedic to RN Bridge Program | too...mostly on these last couple of exams becuse i havent had the time to read everything like i should..probably why i'm only getting C's on teh exams too
I going to do the two exams before enrolling. Once you pay the enrollment fee you start the count down from that date. Why not have two exams under your belt before paying?
Yea u absolutely right! N i want to know what and how u study for these exams so i will follow the same steps! I heard the exam is not hard but it depends on what is hard to them. By the way once uu finish this program would other colleges accept the degree from excelsior for example i want to do my bsn at a school. That i can attend to! Did you hear that u can or cant transfer the degree to another college
