Advanced Placement LPN to RN Maricopa Community Colleges

U.S.A. Arizona

Hello,

Does anyone have any information on the Advanced Placement LPN to RN program for the Maricopa Community Colleges? I am an LPN and will finish up my last semester of prerequisites this Fall. I would love to start Block 3 in the Spring and Block 4 in the summer is possible. I live in the west valley but would go wherever I am accepted. I appreciate any responses that I can get.

Thanks!!!!

From what I understand you can only bridge LPN-RN in a traditional manner. Meaning, you would have to take block 3 in spring (if accepted) and block 4 next fall. I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure that's how it works. Go to nursing.maricopa.edu as all the info you are looking for is there in the application packet.

I was in the accelerated program (block 1 and 4 and capstone in the summer) and we had several LPNs bridge over. However, I believe the only accelerated program left is at Gateway? I could be mistaken

Good to know! I thought the bridging LPNs couldn't take the accelerated version. That's cool.

But one other thing I forgot to mention OP is that the spots for the Spring block 3 would be filled during the fall semester. I don't know if you can apply for Spring semester at the end of fall semester. You should call the school you are interested in going to and speak to the nursing advisor to see if starting next Spring would even be possible. GL

Hi, I graduated from Gateway's FastTrack LPN program Dec 2013. I got offered a block 3 spot at Gateway this summer and I graduate in Dec. Hope this helps!
