Hi Everyone, I am in my first semester of my bachelor degree program, I already have my RN although I did not pass the NCLEX yet, hopefully 2nd time will be a charm. My question is about designing a teaching plan, my professor didn't really explain it and I am having a difficult time starting it because I have always done care plans, can anyone explain exactly what I am supposed to include in a teaching plan and how to set it up I feel confused. I know she wants 3 nursing dx but we are to work up the knowledge deficit she also wants SMART and Bloom's taxonomy included I guess I am having a hard time understanding the format in which I am to write everything do you write it up as a big paragraph? Thank you in advance any information would be helpful

[TD=colspan: 4]Signs and Symptoms:
Student told fellow student that they wrote this paper without specific instructions from teacher.
[TD=colspan: 4]Learner Outcome (Identify domain: affective, cognitive or kinesthetic):
Student will demonstrate understanding of the Teaching Plan paper by filling the correct spaces on the document on Canvas by 0900 October, 22.
Student will read this entire example document by Monday evening.
[TD]Content:
One topic per outcome, two subtopics per topic.
Example:
1. Student needs to know proper outline for paper. How is the topic related to the outcome?
How are the subtopics related to the topic?
2. Student should be instructed on what the example document is.
Contents of document.
Application of document to Teaching Plan.
[TD]Teaching Strategy
IGNORE DOMAIN OF LEARNING FOR THIS SECTION.
So this section is the type of method that we use to teach the topics.
1. Demonstrate how the document should look.
2. Describe or list instructions in example form.
[TD]Learner Activity
THIS IS WHERE YOU INCLUDE THE DOMAINS OF LEARNING
1. Have students ask about any errors that may appear in the example document (cognitive). Let students arrange this paper correctly if there are any issues that frustrate them (psychomotor and affective).
2. Allow students to respond to the email stating if they understand the order of information (cognitive). Students provide examples to improve this document (psychomotor).
[TD]Evaluation:
This is where you get to put questions that you would ask the patient or yourself to see how you did.
Would it have been easier to just show the students my own assignment instead of making this fake one? Is it a good idea to use Canvas and Facebook as a way to inform students about this assignment? Why did I think of this? What did I do that was helpful?

I hope this helps... This was a example a classmate worked up for us when we had a slight confusion on setting up our plan. But talking to a classmate or instructor might work better to double check what is needed. Do you have a rubric?
