Any advice on how to get a job in the hospital with no BSN? I am currently enrolled in RN-BSN program, but will not finish until the summer. It seems that every application I send immediately is rejected due to not meeting qualifications. How can I bypass this? I have over one year of med/surg experience.

If the facility has chosen not to hire nurses without a BSN, then you cannot bypass it. Find something else in the meantime until you have the required degree and can apply. Most likely it's an auto rejection based on the criteria. I would definitely not say you have a BSN to bypass the system because then you would most likely be blacklisted from the entire organization for not being truthful.

Check out hospitals outside of the medical center, especially going up towards Huntsville. Plenty of jobs for ADN nurses there. Just take your pick.

I live in The Woodlands and all of the hospitals there only want BSN. I also tried Conroe Regional Center, which is about 20 min from me. Any specific hospitals you know of that are not magnet?

St Luke's and Huntsville memorial aren't magnet. They may say BSN preferred but I've known tons of ADN nurses that've been hired there. Methodist recently had sign on bonuses for ADN nurses with experience for their night shift med surg positions, so long as they were enrolled in a BSN program or something. If you're really desperate, I'd recommend applying to Huntsville. They're pretty much always hiring.

Try St Lukes Vintage, they just did a merger so you have to seriously check its HR hiring practice...or even red cross blood screening,

Hi, I am on the same boat. I graduated in May at the begining of this crazy pandemic. It's very frustrating! Wondering what you ended up doing?
