Hello! This forum is for ADN Fall 2019 applicants at the Merritt College. I'd like to know anyone who applied, their experience with the application process, and any information about the program. I am a first time applicant.

Hi, everyone!

I just received my acceptance letter for Fall 2019. I live about an hour away so I am starting to look at housing. At the moment, I'm still waiting to hear back from some BSN and entry MSN programs I've applied to, but Merritt's RN program is definitely an option if I don't hear back from my top choices. I couldn't find a FB group or anything for this cohort, so please keep me in the loop-- especially if anyone is looking for a potential housemate!

Just received my acceptance letter today for Fall 2019! Congrats to all those who got accepted and good luck to the people still waiting. @lvb91 Congrats on your acceptance to USF BSN. I was waitlisted for their Entry Level MSN but didn't make the cut. Good Luck in your program ?

Hi again!!!

Also wanted to ask if anyone here knows of a previous student who can give some insight on the program (or any previous students In this forum) I’ve been hearing some negative comments (as I know there always will be a few) and some are concerning. Any thoughts?!?! Please help lol!

I got in too and have been hearing the same things. I asked a student currently in the program and she confirmed that it isn't great and the teachers aren't very helpful. I'm hoping someone will say the positives of the program on here ?

I applied as well and got a letter to submit my TEAS - which I did - but never heard anything after that. For those of you that were accepted, did you receive anything confirming receipt of your TEAS or saying you were in the lottery? Did they say the day/time for orientation?

I was curious because I haven't heard anything yet and I have to travel out of town for a conference around that time (it said it was 6/11 in the brochure).

I'm really hoping I get in because it's my second time applying! Fingers crossed!

Hi,

I never received receipt of my TEAS score being submitted. I just received and acceptance letter 2 days ago and it was dated May 24 so I am assuming they did indeed conduct the lottery on the 23 as originally planned.

The orientation is on June 11 @ 9am and the last day to submit the form they included in the acceptance letter is June 6 @ 4pm. This form was a form that you must fill out and deliver or email to accept your seat in the program. As for me, I am not accepting my seat but there is no way to inform them sooner as I have tried calling but no answer. So I would assume after June 6 they will be sending out additional acceptance letters!

You should get a letter then

A letter to confirm acceptance or denial.

You mentioned this is your second attempt. Didn’t you get a decision letter confirming the rejection last year?

Yes, I received a rejection letter last year. Given the timing, and the fact that I haven’t heard yet, I’ll be expecting this year’s rejection letter any day now. ?

You never know!! People will decline offers and tomorrow at 4 pm is deadline to accept! I know I am declining so keep your fingers crossed maybe you will get in still!!
