ADN FALL 2019 @ Merritt College, Oakland, CA

Published

Hello! This forum is for ADN Fall 2019 applicants at the Merritt College. I'd like to know anyone who applied, their experience with the application process, and any information about the program. I am a first time applicant.

Cheers.

YES!!! You do need to!! I specifically remember them saying that if you send it before receiving this letter in the mail they will disregard your score! They said you need to send it after you receive the letter so definitely send it again!!

Thank you so much ?

I also applied to Merritt this year but still haven’t received anything! I did change my address but it shouldn’t take this long. Has anyone gotten their notification letters this late as well?

@nocolasaaa I’m in the same boat ! I submitted everything on time I have not received a thing . And I know for sure I met the requirements and some . I’m not sure what’s going on but there is supposed to be a mass email going out soon .

Kindly check your previous address mail box to clear your doubt.

Someone also told me after submitting your TEAS you should later receive an email or post mail, confirming you’re part of the lottery.

Has anyone submitted the TEAS score and received an email or postal mail confirming you're part of the lottery yet?

The first post mail contains two letters:

1. Letter confirming your eligibility for the program after your application has been processed.

2. TEAS 6.0 instructions

According to the TEAS instructions letter, Merritt College will be conducting TEAS 6.0 test for applicants (who have not taken the test hitherto) at no cost --0$-- on May 15th and 16th. If you'd like to benefit from that you'd need to inform via email best before May 9th. As for the lottery, I'd wait until next week to hear from them.

@dee23456 but that’s strange because there’s others on this forum that said they’ve gotten the same letter 2 weeks ago.

Did you guys try contacting the nursing department to figure out what’s going on? That’s what I would do since the letter that came said TEAS scores are due by May 16 @ 4pm

@papamama thanks for the tip. I’ll try although I think there are people already living in my old address. We had all our old mail forwarded to our new address but I guess it’s taking a long time.

@lvb91 I’ve emailed them about my application and my new address change but no reply. I was concerned because it’s getting close to the deadline. If I get no reply I think I’ll just submit my teas and hope for the best ?

Ah that’s frustrating! I would definitely just submit your score! Won’t hurt anything and at least you know if your letter is floating around somewhere your scores are submitted

Hi @pmt!

I sent in my TEAS score as soon as I received my eligibility letter. I emailed them to confirm if they received my test scores. However, I haven't gotten a response back. It's probably due to the high volume of applicants.

Also, would you guys happen to know what day the orientation is? I am assuming that they'd change the date, since the extended the lottery date to May 30th,
