Admission to BHSON 2014

Hi,

I recently submitted my application to Bridgeport Hospital School of Nursing for this fall. Who is with me? I'm so excited yet nervous. I hope I get in. Anyone got and acceptance letter ye?

Status has not changed yet. However, I'm watching for the mail man like a stalker.

For those expecting to hear back from BHSON , I spoke to someone and she said that letters are being sent out this week whether you are accepted, denied , or wait listed and there is no deadline . The system might not be updated fast enough regarding the status of your application . Also , only 120 students will be accepted.

:mad: I just called and a lady said, they have been sending out letters all week but it depends on where and how far your application is in the review process before they send out your letter so there is no telling!

WHY CANT THEY ALL STICK TO THE SAME THING!!!!!!!!

Hi everyone!! I've been anxiously following this thread, and am happy to finally say I got my acceptance letter in the mail today! I'm so happy and can't wait to meet everybody at orientation! Best of luck to everyone who hasn't heard yet!!!

GOT INTO BHSON! Got my letter today! See you all in june! :)

Sure I'll share! My GPA is a 3.4(chemistry really brought it down) and my teas was 70. But I scored the highest in the science sections. Not the greatest stats, but I wrote a really good essay, and prayer doesn't hurt! Lol

Essay is definitely a huge factor. The admissions director said it's not just based on the story you tell or what topic you decide to write about but how well you are able to get your points across. So they don't just read your essay as a persuasive piece about why you want to be a nurse or what happened to make you choose this path but they look at how you use your words and how well you can write.

Also congrats to you both! The day I received my letter it took about 24 hours for it to set in and feel real lol
