Admission to BHSON 2014

Hi,

I recently submitted my application to Bridgeport Hospital School of Nursing for this fall. Who is with me? I'm so excited yet nervous. I hope I get in. Anyone got and acceptance letter ye?

Well no one likes a know it all. That's pretty much a given. You shouldn't go into nursing school like you know anything but reading texts suggested from previous BHSN students is definitely a good idea in my book. I'll take any recommendations I can get now seeing as the average text book package is about $600 so I would rather spread everything out (as far as non-required texts) so I don't get killed with book purchases.

Hi I have been following this thread! I have been in review since March 7th and I havent heard anything yet! Super frustrated right now! I am a medical assistant and work for a specialty office. I had really good references and essay. I wish I would just get an answer yes or no. I am so eager to find out. Congratulations to everyone that has heard. I submitted my whole packet the second week of January and still havent heard while others who have applied after me have!

I have also been waiting. My application has been under review for two months. I called the admissions coordinator and asked if they had a certain date they would be done with all the applications by and she said "no letters go out everyday,maybe by April 30" but she is not sure and they have no set date to be done by.

OH MY GOD!!!!!!! I have been silently following the forums for months and today I finally decided to create an account when I got my acceptance letter for Bridgeport Hospital. I am still in shock and this feels surreal. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I sat through open house today and they said they try to get all decisions out by the end of April. Thought this would help someone

I've been under review since the beginning of February. I got a 68 on my TEAS and overall GPA is a 3.4. I have all the courses completed as well. I'm still under review :/ getting beyond inpatient. I do know friends that didn't hear in previous years until mid to late April that they were accepted. I guess no news is good news but it just make the wait even harder! :(

I guess they have to have all of the letters out by April because our information packets come out in May so it would probably make sense that everyone be accepted or denied before then

Has anyone logged in as student yet? What do you see when you login?

Hi jenna,

When you log in as a student it just a burgandy-ish and white coloring. It has diff tabs that you can open. Theres not much up there tho. Since classes and booklists havent been posted yet its not much to see. Theres also a link to go on the website where we order our uniforms but it says you need a special password for that. Trust me, so far you arent missing much :)
