Admission/Acceptance to Georgia Regents/Georgia Health Sciences

U.S.A. Georgia

Hello! I just joined and couldn't find any other thread that had anything about admission stats or anything for Georgia Regents (formerly Georgia Health Sciences) and I am so nervous about getting into the BSN program, I applied with my first choice in Athens, and second as Augusta.. I have a 3.7 and got an 86 on the TEAS V and was wondering if anyone knew if that was competitive or what your stats were?!

HELLPPPPPPP :nailbiting:

I am still working on my vaccines and titers. The Hep B in particular takes awhile from what I can gather...I hope the "90 days" rule won't be an issue?? I mean, we only found out we were accepted a few weeks ago. Is anyone else still working on their vaccines and titers?

I have finished all but my TB test. However, I can tell you that basically what happens is that everything needs to be done before the mandatory orientation. The immunizations office has said that if you are unable to complete the Hep B series and get the titer done in time to start classes then you must have a surface antigen done to prove that you do not have the disease and then send in proof of every vaccine as you have them and titer results when you are finished. I think 90 days before classes start is when they would LIKE to have them ideally but sometimes that is not possible.

Hi everyone! I'm a little confused about the vaccines. It says on that instruction page that we should have the Hep B series AND the titer. Well I got the titer and it was responsive for Hep B, meaning I've previously gotten the vaccines. the nurse says I shouldn't need the vaccines because this proves I already got them. Of course, this all makes sense to me, but I just want to make sure that the school isn't requiring me to get the actual vaccines again. What do y'all think?

As long as the anitbody titer is positive you will be fine. That is acceptable.

As long as your titer shows immunity then you are fine!

Is anyone else as excited as I am that we get to register next week?!?!??!

Specializes in ICU.

Do we have to have out immunizations done to be able to register? Unfortunately there was a mix up with mine and I'm having to go back for a shot an titer and won't have it one by next week!

I do not believe so.

No, you will still be able to register. An immunization hold will not keep you from registering this first time, but it will in the future. If your Hep B series will not be complete by the time you start then you will need to be sure to get a hep b antigen drawn (if that is the incomplete injection and titer you are referring to).

Thank you! That's what I thought but I wanted to make sure. They got me so paranoid. Haha! I'm super excited about registration next week!!

Does anyone know what the "M" means under Cmp (Campus) in registration?? I'm thinking 'mobile'?

And how do we know when to register? I haven't gotten any emails. I can get into Pounce but that's about it...
