Admission/Acceptance to Georgia Regents/Georgia Health Sciences

U.S.A. Georgia

Published

Hello! I just joined and couldn't find any other thread that had anything about admission stats or anything for Georgia Regents (formerly Georgia Health Sciences) and I am so nervous about getting into the BSN program, I applied with my first choice in Athens, and second as Augusta.. I have a 3.7 and got an 86 on the TEAS V and was wondering if anyone knew if that was competitive or what your stats were?!

HELLPPPPPPP :nailbiting:

I got another letter today with more details about POUNCE, immunizations, financial aid, etc.... I hope I am not too late on my immunizations; has anyone already done theirs?

I have already had all my immunization/lab work done. It was quite a task because there are specific tests that need to be done for certain things. You should be okay unless you end up needing the Hep B series. Even then, the immunization office has a work around for it.

So I went into the registration area of POUNCE today just see if they had started putting up class times and they have. It is only for the Main campus (Augusta) but it looks like you will have patho at 10:am-11:30am on Monday and Friday. Also, based on the numbers I see, it would appear that they took 40 for the Athens campus and 156 for the Augusta campus.

There are 117 people total that are listed as being BSN students 2015 as of right now online.

I am still having issues getting into the email! The NetID is just the part before the @gru.edu right? I guess I will try to call the IT department tomorrow. :/. Have they sent anything nursing related to your email by chance? I just want to make sure I don't miss anything :)

Yes, your net ID is just the part before @gru.edu. Are you using the right password format. The one they list in the orientation area is not going to work.

As for any emails, the only thing I received was from immunizations reminding me that I needed to submit all that. I have sense submitted everything but the TB test. You aren't missing anything yet!

Has anyone looked at the schedule? You can look up all of our classes. Some of the class schedules looks complicated. It is not straight forward. It has certain dates that the class time is different. It is hard to explain what I am talking about. You can see the class schedules if you log into pounce, go to student, registration, and then look up classes. Pick fall 2013, and go to the subject nursing.

How did you find the number 117? I wonder if that included Athens.

The number online is 133 now. It's all of the students that have been put into their system as School of Nursing Student 2015 and it included Athens and Augusta :). When I looked up my netID I noticed that I was assigned to that department so I searched that department to see how many others were assigned.

Does anyone know where we are supposed to send our CPR certification? Is it sent to the office of Academic Admissions or the CON?

I sent mine to admissions. I'm not sure if that was the right place or not. I'm sure if its not they forward it to the right deparment. At least I hope so.

Did you just send them a copy of your card?

Great, thanks!

Hello everyone. New to the site and just wanted to throw my input in here. I got accepted in fall BSN program at the Augusta campus. As far as I know, the nursing department is still trying to get everything together so not much action is taking place and they say just to hold off a little longer before we hear from them. As for me, I am having trouble finding somewhere to live down there. I live 4 hours away, no nobody else who is going to GRU, and I'm a male. Three things that are slowing me down as far as finding a roommate. If anyone has any leads to help me out there, that would be great. I went on to the Residence Life website to apply for on-campus housing but the applications were not available. Thanks for any help in advance.
