  1. Does anyone see anything about Financial Aid in Pounce? I still have no information in mine.
  2. Thank you all so much for your words. I feel all alone out here and I'm desperately reaching out. I will be commuting an hour each way, M-F 8-5, and I just can't seem to see how I am going to do this. I will keep trying to look at every possible option. God bless all of you for your words!!
  3. I start my BSN program in August. I am a single mother with a 2 year old son, and have been living with my parents for over 2.5 years. I am 31 years old. I have reached a point where it is no longer healthy for me to live at home with my parents. I have to move out with my son and do this alone. Is there anyone out there (single parent) who has made it through nursing school on their own financially and with limited family support? Any comments or any offerings of advice are appreciated.
  4. And how do we know when to register? I haven't gotten any emails. I can get into Pounce but that's about it...
  5. Does anyone know what the "M" means under Cmp (Campus) in registration?? I'm thinking 'mobile'?
  6. I am still working on my vaccines and titers. The Hep B in particular takes awhile from what I can gather...I hope the "90 days" rule won't be an issue?? I mean, we only found out we were accepted a few weeks ago. Is anyone else still working on their vaccines and titers?
  7. Is anyone having trouble joining the webinar? It keeps saying "setup not successful please try again" ?
  8. I'm accepted at the Athens campus!!! Thank God!!!
  9. Yes. Had the whole thing submitted the morning of Jan. 9. Had everything ready well before the app even opened. The school is Truett-McConnell in Cleveland. Private, have to take 18 hours of bible classes this summer, the HRSA scholarship (due on may 1) doesn't even cover it because it is a brand new program. I literally put all my eggs in GRU's basket, feels like one of the worst mistakes of my life. I don't know what I'm going to do. I've been on the phone all morning crying with TMC financial aid, i barely qualify for anything. I missed the acceptance deadlines for other schools I got into months ago, believing what GRU kept saying (which was that we would know a longtime ago). Literally sick to my stomach.
  10. For me it's been well over three months. I had all my stuff in the very day the app cycle opened on jan 9. I'm screwed in several ways already because of this. I have to register for classes for my backup school (private, 16,000 per year) in 2 days.
  11. @hahi92 I know. It's really unbelievable. If I have waited all this time (and missed scholarship deadlines, late on Financial aid, etc...) all to be told no I am gonna be one unhappy camper. I'm so intrigued about WHAT exactly the hold up is. Are they using the pony express? Do they have serious IT problems and can't get information processed? Serious administration problems? It's very worrisome all around. I FEEL like they really don't care about what they are putting us through.
  12. For those who are still waiting like me: talked to a *person in administration: not only do they have no idea when the next round is going out, but also a new one: they are "physically moving into another building this week" and this was another reason for continue delays. It appears that the May 1 deadline they told all of us has no importance.
