Admission/Acceptance to Georgia Regents/Georgia Health Sciences

Published

Hello! I just joined and couldn't find any other thread that had anything about admission stats or anything for Georgia Regents (formerly Georgia Health Sciences) and I am so nervous about getting into the BSN program, I applied with my first choice in Athens, and second as Augusta.. I have a 3.7 and got an 86 on the TEAS V and was wondering if anyone knew if that was competitive or what your stats were?!

HELLPPPPPPP :nailbiting:

Did any of yall who got in not have the "decision made" on your admission profile???

My status changed.

Congralations, JB13 and tarbethany! mereidd, sorry you didn't get your campus preference. They may be able to change it sometime in the near future, so stay optimistic. I'm sure they're still weeding some things out.

Thank you! I cannot wait! Hope to see everyone there!

I was offered a spot at the Augusta campus for Fall 2013. I'm currently debating on whether or not to accept this opportunity. I want nothing more than to graduate with my BSN from GRU but I moved to Athens less than a year ago to be with my friends, boyfriend and family. I don't know anyone in Augusta and I have not heard good things about the town itself. Do any of you guys have some sort of advice? Anything is appreciated as I'm kind of going crazy over here!!

I considered living in Augusta for two years if that is what they gave me and I have a fiancee and ten year old. You do what you have to do to achieve your dreams. Does it suck? YES!! Nobody can make the decision but you, best of luck!

@kdag congrats on getting accepted!!!!! Do you mind sharing your stats? I'm just trying to get a feel for whose been accepted since I have not heard anything yet:( trying to compare my stats! Also did you have any volunteer hours or anything? Thanks in advance and good luck in the future! I had a friend visit the Augusta campus who fell in love with it!

Thank you for your encouragement! I applied to Athens only as I've already signed a lease for the next year so in reality, moving to Augusta might be out of the question.

My stats: 3.6 GPA, 83 on the TEAS, 20ish hours at the Athens Nurses Clinic, 5 hours at the Athens Homeless Shelter, shadowed once, took care of my sick grandmother all of last summer, poured my heart and soul into the essay because God put me here to be a nurse and I want to get there ASAP

Good luck! I've been taking pre-requesites for 3 years now and know for a fact that if you don't get in here there are a million ways to reach the goal!

Congratulations to everyone who got accepted

Has anyone been able to get the orientation video listed on the acceptance form to work?

I'm starting the CNL program this Fall but I'm assuming its the same orientation video. You can find it on the GRU website too. It basically just goes over the things you need to get done before school starts like student loans, immunization, getting your email set-up, etc.

Can you tell me where you found it on the website... I am having trouble locating it!

Mailing in my acceptance and deposit today! For all of you still waiting please update us as soon as you hear something!!! I look forward to meeting you all in the Fall :) Have a great day and don't stress too much!

Congrats to all!! I will see my Augusta future nurses soon and can't wait. Don't forget to take the CPR class after the month of May that way you will stay certified through the duration of nursing school. Also make sure it is from American Heart Association only.
