Admission/Acceptance to Georgia Regents/Georgia Health Sciences

U.S.A. Georgia

Published

Hello! I just joined and couldn't find any other thread that had anything about admission stats or anything for Georgia Regents (formerly Georgia Health Sciences) and I am so nervous about getting into the BSN program, I applied with my first choice in Athens, and second as Augusta.. I have a 3.7 and got an 86 on the TEAS V and was wondering if anyone knew if that was competitive or what your stats were?!

HELLPPPPPPP :nailbiting:

Congrats to all!! I will see my Augusta future nurses soon and can't wait. Don't forget to take the CPR class after the month of May that way you will stay certified through the duration of nursing school. Also make sure it is from American Heart Association only.

Good luck in the Fall spy! I am eager to get things done and get the ball rolling on all the things that have to be complete but I know some have to wait. :(

Never mind on my question! I figured it out... Found a location to take it.. thanks for the advice to wait until May or June! :)

What date did y'all's letter give you to return your deposit? Just wondering!

It said 15 days from the date of the letter. My letter was dated for the 21st of March.

Does anyone know whether the school will be offering the CPR class and if it will be offered at either campus? If not, where do you plan to take your class? Tarbethany, maybe we could take it together?

Maybe that's why she said there won't be a wait list this year! That's good too because they get to know who is going to attend or not sooner. I have been accepted to Emory but their deposit isn't due until May 1st! So I'm able to wait to hear back from GRU!

Well, hopefully you hear soon! Did you apply for Athens or Augusta?

Athens first and then Augusta if I don't get accepted to Athens but honestly I truly want Athens just because it is close to my family and friends! But ill be happy just to be accepted to the school in general! Very nervous that may not happen:( but I'm keeping my head up and hoping for good news like y'all have gotten!:)

I was shocked to receive Athens considering they only take 40 for that campus. I am super excited that it worked out perfectly for me and I hope the same happens for you :)

They are offering it at Gwinnett Tech. Basically every other Saturday. They have a May 18th date I may take it if that's late enough to not have to retake before nursing school is over. THey may also offer it 2x in June so I might take it then to be on the safe side. That would be great to take it together!

Is it the AHA version? Do you have to be a current student there? I can take it either time!

yes, it's the AHA one and you don't have to be a student. It's $67
