Admission/Acceptance to Georgia Regents/Georgia Health Sciences

Published

Hello! I just joined and couldn't find any other thread that had anything about admission stats or anything for Georgia Regents (formerly Georgia Health Sciences) and I am so nervous about getting into the BSN program, I applied with my first choice in Athens, and second as Augusta.. I have a 3.7 and got an 86 on the TEAS V and was wondering if anyone knew if that was competitive or what your stats were?!

HELLPPPPPPP :nailbiting:

And @jb13 congrats!! Hoping to meet you in the fall!!

I am keeping my fingers crossed that I get to meet you!!

I got accepted!!!! It IS for Athens :) I am so extremely excited!!!!!!!!

Congratulations!!!

I called/emailed and although I put athens only I got in at Augusta so I can't go because both of my parents are on disability and I have to stay here /: congratulations JB!

Congrats!!! I look forward to meeting you in the Fall :)

Did any of yall who got in not have the "decision made" on your admission profile???

I was offered a spot at the Augusta campus for Fall 2013. I'm currently debating on whether or not to accept this opportunity. I want nothing more than to graduate with my BSN from GRU but I moved to Athens less than a year ago to be with my friends, boyfriend and family. I don't know anyone in Augusta and I have not heard good things about the town itself. Do any of you guys have some sort of advice? Anything is appreciated as I'm kind of going crazy over here!!

I'm not sure about how far away your home is, but I just moved to Athens in the fall and am not sure what I would do if i was accepted for August only either, I do know that my brother is in med school in Augusta, and he's enjoying it, although he spends most of his time studying and doesnt have time for many leisure activities, but even then, Augusta is only two hours away from Athens and Atlanta, so it is not too bad that you woudlnt be able to come home on the weekends if you wanted to!

Thank you Lolaprobs! Almost all I've ever heard about nursing school is how little free time you have so maybe it won't make that much of a difference. It would just be nice to come home to familiar faces after a long day of clinicals.

Specializes in None.

Congralations, JB13 and tarbethany! mereidd, sorry you didn't get your campus preference. They may be able to change it sometime in the near future, so stay optimistic. I'm sure they're still weeding some things out.
