Admission/Acceptance to Georgia Regents/Georgia Health Sciences

Published

Hello! I just joined and couldn't find any other thread that had anything about admission stats or anything for Georgia Regents (formerly Georgia Health Sciences) and I am so nervous about getting into the BSN program, I applied with my first choice in Athens, and second as Augusta.. I have a 3.7 and got an 86 on the TEAS V and was wondering if anyone knew if that was competitive or what your stats were?!

HELLPPPPPPP :nailbiting:

I got an email from admissions today saying if I haven't received my letter I will soon and to cross out that it starts in Summer 2013 and put Fall 2013 instead before sending it back. it doesn't spell out that it's an acceptance but I'm fairly certain the first batch of letters were acceptance letters and this email sort of confirms that?

I got the same email and it made me excited lol

Congrats to all that got accepted. Hopefully I will be joining you in the fall!

Can anyone who got their letters today tell me... is it a big envelope or a small envelope? ;)

It's an envelope the size and shape similar to an unfolded 8x11 sheet of paper, but not thick. :)

Thanks! That is what I wanted to know!! I will be stocking my mailman for sure tomorrow! :)

So it would appear that everyone that got letters today were selected for Augusta? I applied for Athens only but my status changed the same day as everyone else's. Wonder if they will put me in Augusta as well?!?

I didn't get no email today. :/

Well maybe that means that they had not made a decision (mailed you a letter) yet and so your letter will come with the correct date. Try and be optimistic!

Hey everyone! I see I have been MIA for alot of comments. My packet came with a letter that stated:

"We are very excited about the volume of applicants received for thisclass. Unfortunately we are unable to admit everyone or grant every applicanthis/her first choice of campus. We hope that you accept this admission offer tothe designated campus indicated in your admission letter and join us in beingpart of history."

I think that they picked what campus to put you in and hope that you take thatone (even if you put Athens only). If they have not done this in the past itmay be because they did not have the volume of applicants that they desired. Inthe seminar that did mention that they were later than all of the otherp rograms in the application process this year.

I do not live in Augusta. I live near Athens. I got my acceptance the day after Augusta area applicants. Should be tomorrow!!

I never even thought about that possibility. I truly hope that my letter is for the Athens campus. I have a husband and 3 kids and I don't know if I will be able to go to the Augusta campus if that's the one I'm accepted for. I will cross my fingers and hope that that isn't the case for me.

I am in the same boat. I couldn't sleep this morning worrying about it. I have a ten year old, a house, a fiancee, and an ex husband in this area. For me to go to Augusta I would have to leave my family for two years and only see them on the weekends :( Here is hoping that both of us receive the Athens campus!

I'm in the same boat. Single mama with an 18 month old and my whole family lives near Athens....there is no way I'd be able to do Augusta.
