You are correct asking questions but some are more pertinent to what you need to know than others.

Anecdotal information about any school except the for-profits must be taken with a grain of salt.

Go to (collehescorecard.ed.gov) and start to evaluate these reputable schools in as much of an unbiased way as possible.

I personally went to Adelphi with Abe Lincoln before he decided to become the president so what was then may not be now. Then it was a very good school.

We did our clinicals at Nassau Co. Medical Center and Mineola Hospital.

Stoneybrook was another very good school and as a state institution a lot cheaper. Very hard to get in as a result.

I had completed my prerequisites at Nassau Community College before attending Adelphi to lessen the expense of attending. I also (who cares) had another degree from Queens College (CUNY) unrelated to nursing. So on second thought you may want to consider the (CUNY) schools too.

QC was a good school because most of my instructors were adjuncts from NYU, Cooper Union and Columbia University. So in retrospect I sort of got an Ivy League education at dime store prices.

I don't know about Mount Saint Mary but of course look up all the schools and try to based upon your needs and circumstances make a cost effective decision because these schools are expensive but they have good graduation and retention stats so they actually give a hoot about producing qualified NCLEX candidates.
