ACLS certification in San Diego area..??

hi fellow nurses..!! :)

i just have an inquiry.. i want to know if anybody can help me with wanting to get an acls certification, anywhere here in san diego... if anyone can suggest any place, preferably areas near escondido to coronado area... i'm trying to get one.. and i'm also currently searching for rn jobs in a hospital.. i've worked for a year in a skilled nursing facility, but i really really wanna work in a hospital... thanks in advance..!! god bless :) :nurse:

If someone reliable can veryfy your hands on skills, you can take ACLS and PALS online at "www.aclsonline.us/"]ACLS Certification, Recertification & PALS Recertification." which worked fine with me. As more continuing education and mandatory inservices are online, it seems like a natural evolution. However some employers may have reservations.

Have you tried calling the hospitals in your area or even out of your area....depending how far you want to drive?

I live in Canada and to take ACLS it costs me $400 out of pocket. I call my Education Office at my old hospital in the States and they tell me, "Sure, you can take it here" and the cost is only $80. Combine a visit with the kids/grandkids and it is cheaper for me.
