Accidentally let PA nurse license expire and worked for 10 weeks before I noticed

Published

Of course I know this is bad. I have no idea why I forgot but I did. I have done the necessary steps to get it reinstated. I am on a leave from work as of the day I found out.
Does anyone know how long it takes to get back and what my consequences will be?

I'm not sure about your state, but I know that because of COVID, some of the deadlines have been extended, hoping you can get it resolved quickly!

Since its within 2 months, expect a penalty to reinstate and possibly a fine those greater than 6 mo to several years license lapse,  seen $500 penalty on PA BON disciplinary actions --rarely seen.  Most renewals go thru in 24hrs-3 days,

Earlier, I briefed over this post and thought, "Heck- I don't know anything about this" and thought of you, Karen.

Blushing.... TY Davey.    Having been Nursing Manager 10yrs came across many healthcare situations needing sleuthing, love to read,  became internet search Queen per our Admin team.  Especially since  responsible for Home Health physician credentialing + data entry,  I got to read Board of Medicine and Nursing Disciplinary Actions monthly to term doctors with suspended/termed license in our software + alert HR any staff nurse issue -rare.
