Got my acceptance letter for the LPN/EMT to RN bridge program from Hutchinson CC in KS!! Very excited to be going back. I also got my CNA and LPN through this school and have been very happy with it. Now to figure out how to juggle FT work and FT school for the next year. Kinda intimidated! But it'll be so worth it. :)

How does the scoring rubric work for Hutchinson? For example if my sciences are B’s with the occasional A, need I still even apply?

It is based on a point system. I’m not sure what the average accepted scores are but I would apply anyway. Have you emailed them to ask about the rubric? They are very fast to get back to people.

Yeah I’m going to reach out after I take the exam again on Monday. Wish me luck. I was supposed to take it today but Examity gave me nothing but grief the entire time. Their servers would kick me off or the proctor couldn’t see me or my screen. This all happened before I even was able to take the exam. Not to mention EVERY time I logged in I had to reset my password but the password reset wouldn’t go to my email. I seriously spent  hours  with their IT Dept today trying to resolve it. Between the zoom meetings kicking me off or the Gironde tings not working I’m really hoping Hutchinson will grace me with another proctor and to be honest maybe they should use someone who has better internet service. The internet was not a problem on my end. I’m doing my pathophysio right now which is proctored without issue and my speed test shows 50mbps.

 

Has anyone else had issues with Examity? It’s awful.

That is horrible I take my exam next week have you notified Hutch about the examity dilema? If I may ask how was the exam?

I emailed Becky twice yesterday about what happened. I’m really wondering if anyone else is having issues with Examity. I had heard they used to be great but then started outsourcing their proctoring and have gone downhill since. 
 

As for the exam, I was never even able to take the exam because it kicked me off with the proctor before I even saw a single question. Proctor blamed it on internet and marked it as incomplete and currently counts as one of my chances. I’m really not happy about that so I have canceled my next exam until I speak to Becky about how to proceed. If you or anyone has issues with Examity please email Becky so the college knows that this proctor isn’t cutting it. Yesterday was quite the emotional rollercoaster for me from being anxious to mad, to sad. I just want to be able to take this exam so I can find out how close I am to getting in. Good luck next week! Please post how your exam goes!

Well shoot, I’ll keep you posted on how my test goes and see if I have the same issues.

Did you take your exam? How did it go? I tried AGAIN to take it and spent 3 hours between the proctor and Kaplan getting everything squared away. Examity scheduled me the wrong time and Kaplan didn’t even have the exam accessible to me. By that time, my family had returned and that is when connectivity became an issue. So we are going to try AGAIN. Hopefully with better luck. I complained to Becky again about Examity because of how prehistoric they wrong their show. It’s really ridiculous. I wish you luck and I just can’t wait to take the exam and get it over with so I can forget about Examity. The DMV moves faster than Examity.

Well it has it gone so good for me either. I had scheduled my exam for this morning at 0930 and once I went to start there was no test scheduled on their end. I spoke to one of the online help gave them my test order number and informed them that they did already take the cost of the exam out from my bank account. So now supposedly they are trying to get it scheduled next week at the same time. Only thing I need is for them to say I need to pay for my exam again smh. I did email Becky to see if anyone else had had issues with examity which of course we already know the answer to this I just want to see if she says yes.

I was able to take the Kaplan again. Now I’m trying to download a PDF editor so I can fill out the application. My handwriting is not very neat and I want it to look clean. Were you two able to take your exams yet?

I was able to take my exam but did not meet the benchmark on math so I had it set to retake this Friday that passed. An hour later of not being able to get in to the test the proctor said sorry for the inconvenience and that I’d have to reschedule, while trying to reschedule they said I couldn’t that I had to set up a new test. I tried explaining I just needed to reschedule because we were never able to get into the test so if I set up a new one I’d have to pay once again this was ongoing for an hour I talked to three representatives and finally one said I’d get a refund but we shall see they seem kinda shady to me. My second test is scheduled for July 29.

Oh man, that sounds so frustrating! The only issue with my proctor was that I had a very hard time understanding what he was saying due to his heavy accent. It took a few minutes to get started because he kept having to repeat himself for me. I actually had to pay for 2 exams as well because the website wouldn’t let me reschedule either so I just purchased another one. Never got refunded though. Good luck on the exam!

I recently found out about this college. I see some people have had issues registering. Anyone from Los Angeles area able to get approved for this program? If so can you tell me about your experience getting in or applying?
