I got in my 5th try applying to nursing schools all over the nation. After years of prayers, money spent on applications, still mediocre to low GPA, i got into Univ of Kentucky Nursing program. Even my own family members told me to give up. If u want it that bad....dont even bother giving up. That passion to be a nurse never dies out if you KNOW u are meant to be a nurse. I cried all day when i got my acceptance letter.

Hello, everyone
Last year, I made a post about my college's nursing program, and whether or not I would get accepted. Sadly, I did not get accepted into the program. I was so angry and frustrated at myself for not taking my major seriously or my classes. I told myself to stay strong, push through it, and don't cry, which I didn't for a weeks, until that one moment your alone and think about the biggest mistake you have made. Returning to school in august, I would ignore the students that has been accepted into the program, and i would get even angrier seeing them in their nursing uniforms. Not only was I bothered by that, but I also was annoyed by the side eye looks from the students that has been accepted and the teachers when they find out that you didn't make the first cut. Going through this my fall semester, I thought I wasn't good enough, never will be good enough, and that I would never fulfill my dream of becoming a nurse. However, I told myself enough is enough and began to strap up my boots. I worked really hard my fall semester and ended it with a 3.0. Because I wasn't satisfied with that point average, I worked even HARDER my spring semester. Literally, the only thing I did was eat, sleep, and breathe assignments and tests. Spent more time studying for he tease and received a score of 72, whereas last year I scored a 62. Finally, I ended the spring semester with a 3.9. And yes, I did get accepted into the program, FINALLLLYYY!!
I know it has taken a long time to get to the point of this passage Lol, but I wanted to write this to give others hope whom did not get into the program, and don't give up on your dream and what you really want. You can do it, and I know you can
