Acceping letter - GPA

Published

What was your GPA when you got into nursing school or what was it when you were rejected? just looking to see what range should my GPA be at.

We dont have to take a critical thinking exam or a Teas here they go by GPA, RN entrance exam score, and ACT score.

Though I haven't applied yet I currently have a 4.0 gpa 22 act 26 in science and have yet to take the entrance exam... ( phear the vocabulary ... Im so behind on it. )

Going try and keep the 4.0 gpa though Im taking full loads the next 2 quarters so I can attempt to get into the program spring 07, I expect it to be tough.

Hi Everyone,

I'm looking for advice on where to apply, given my grades. My first priority is to get into a program ASAP. I have a 3.3 overall, 3.7 in sciences, and an MBA. I live in CA, and relocating and tuition are not a problem. I'm really frustrated by the competition to get into nursing school. Any advice or encouragement would be greatly appreciated

3.8 and some change. Accepted first try.

Received an alternate letter (in july) for fall 2006 with a 2.89, didn't get into the LPN program. Now I have a 3.06 waiting for my acceptance into the RN program spring 2007. I was told that I have a better shot, because my Micro class (A) wasn't considered because it's not a pre req for the LPN; however, it is for the RN. Science GPA 4.0

My school's pre reqs:

A&p 185 (5cr) or A&P 281 (4cr) & 282 (4cr)

Micro (4cr)

Psyc (4cr)

pre alg (5cr)

eng 101 (3cr)

CNA course (6cr)

Specializes in Ortho/Neurosurgical.

You're going to kill me for typing this because I know all too well the pain of "waiting"......I have taken all pre-reqs for RN, I currently have a BS in business....my overall gpa sucks but prereq is 3.7 so I opted to walk in to a local votech and apply for their LPN programs too (tired of waiting), I applied to two different schools. The second school, I picked up the application on Sept 15th, turned it in complete on the 18th and before I left, I had confirmation of acceptance and a bill and list of "things to do" before starting school Jan 8th. I have applied to a few other schools but am waiting. Except now, I'm digging the one I've been accepted to because the schedule is condusive to working full time and after LPN, I should be able to make more money for the family. I'm pretty psyched. So I found out in about 2 hours that I was in. Wierd huh, but they have a pretty good reputation.
