I recently submitted my application for the accelerated BNS program. I saw that other semesters had discussions and I thought it would be nice to start one for us, just to help each other out through the application process.
I looked at past ones when I was filling out my application and found them to be helpful, so hopefully it will be for us.

Hi everyone!! Been following the posts and I just wanted to say hi!! I just got off the phone with them since they still had not checked off my college transcripts...they were "misplaced" due to my last name changes..oh brother. But, she then informed me that my app will now be reviewed..(so more waiting...err.)However, I will remain hopeful. :) Look forward to reading and sharing wonderful nyu news!!! :)
I am a traditional transfer..but thought I would share the news here anyways..Received my decision today..Was denied and told that their applications exceed the number of seats..so even though I may qualify..some student still have to be rejected. But they told me to check out another school of theirs...Good luck to the rest of you!
Sorry to hear that, EMT. I am sure you will find your place though, even if it is in another program! Perhaps you can start in a different program at NYU and then transfer back into nursing? Either way, I wish you good luck!
Can you tell me how you found out? By calling, e-mail, snail mail?
I received a very long E-Mail this morning with an attachment to another college within NYU. Someone else asked me what my stats were and I posted them on the Traditional/Transfer NYU nursing Fall 2011 thread..Good luck to all! =)
It sounds like they are still interested in you though in some way! I think that is a good sign.
One more question: You had mentioned in a previous post that you were curious if NYU would still accept you for another program if you did not get into the College of Nursing. I am wondering, did you e-mail them and ask them if that was a possibility before receiving your e-mail? Or was this just coincidental? Sorry for all the questions, I am just getting antsy myself.
Just wanted to say hello and that I got my acceptance letter emailed to me this morning! So more might be going out really soon! Don't lose hope! Now I have to decide between NYU and MGH....any suggestions??
I graduated from UCSD with a 3.0 cumulative gpa and had about a 3.6 in my prereqs- but I'm currently taking micro and anatomy. I had a lot of extra curricular activities and did a 2 year internship at a hospital down here. I applied on March 1st.

I have similar stats to you. Attended SDSU graduating with a 3.2. I worked at the UCSD Moores Cancer Center for 2 years. I am still waiting for my decision, so hopefully soon! Congrats again!
That's awesome! Did you apply to MGH's direct entry program (BS/MS combined)? That program is amazing!!!! I didn't apply to it, but one of my really good friends did and she is going this fall. She had to choose between NYU and MGH, she chose MGH.
I just got off the phone with an admissions counselor and she told me that a decision has not been made on my application yet. She said decisions are on a rolling basis and they are being sent out biweekly. So it might be a few more weeks.
