I will be applying to UMass Amherst for the Aug 2018 entering class. I wanted to start a thread for any prospective applicants.

Feel free to discuss anything! Hopefully we can all help each other through the next couple of months while we complete apps and await decisions.

Hi all! New to the thread but I've been shadowing it for a bit now. I got in! So excited to meet you all.

I've got a couple questions about housing in the area since I'll be moving over from Oregon, but I'll post them up to the Facebook page in a bit.

Did anyone who got waitlisted get an email this morning saying congratulations on your admission to umass and get a link to set up your account to which is says you are in the major? But did not get an email saying they were taken off the waitlist from the nursing department? I'm confused.

Wish I had found this thread sooner. Congrats to all that have been accepted!

I have been waitlisted. The list is ranked, however they weren't able to disclose my position in the waitlist. Has anyone heard of anything else?

Just a little about me..I graduated five years ago at UMass Amherst (loved it there. Also served as an RA) with a B.S. in Public Health. Currently live in Springfield area. Hopefully I get offered a slot.

I thought they were waiting until April 1st to decide on waitlisted candidates. But nonetheless, congrats! :)

That's what I thought too! That's why I'm really confused because I got an email from Umass IT saying "congratulations on your admission to Umass....." and there was a link to set up an account and I‎t said my major was the nursing program. But I did not get any emails from the nursing department, that's why I'm confused. Maybe I'll get one tomorrow or maybe I‎t was a mistake from IT. I'm really not sure.
