I wanted to start a topic that everyone could post on about their progress in the application process. I know we're all excited to hear back from UMASS nursing, so lets get something started here!
I personally applied on January 15. I went to UMASS to drop it off by hand to make sure everything got there on time. When i dropped off my application they told me the actual application was due on the 15th and all other materials could be submitted up to Febuary 1st. I did read in previous years threads that we receive an application complete emai. Has anyone received theirs yet?
I just got accepted!! I've been on allnurses for a while but just now joined as a member. I am currently living in Europe (short term move) and moving back to the US in a month. I am so excited as I have really bad undergrad gpa and so didn't think I had a chance!
This was my first school I applied and got in.
Did everyone have to do interview? This is weird because I never did and mailed my application literally the day before deadline so it could be postmarked. I just got an email with acceptance news and said I will be receiving official letter in the mail this week.
I have a question about the books. What editions did you use for the books? For Nursing 100, did you use the 8th or 9th edition and for Patho, did you buy the 7th edition?
The edition really isn't going to matter. Most of the professors offer conversion guides between editions. Don't waste your money on getting the latest one, especially for the summer class. Are they making you buy iPads? I used some PDF versions and downloaded them to my iPad. Either that or I rented books. I have only actually bought one book so far and that was Med-Surg. And a tip for the summer book: rent it from amazon and then return it within 30 days (you'll get a full refund). I promise you that you will have no use for it after that one week of class.
Hi everyone! I was wondering if anyone will be able to help me with clinical for the spring semester. I live in Worcester and I was hoping to register for a clinical site in Worcester. Does anyone know the names of the professors who had sites and Worcester for medsurg and also the community health practicum. Thanks I'm advance.
