Hi All!
Figured I'd start a thread for the aspiring Fall 2022 cohort! I haven't seen one as of yet but better late than never. Is anyone applying to Pace for the Fall 2022 semester in NYC? I'm very nervous, I've reached out for recommendations and am hoping to have my personal statement along with my application submitted by the end of week or in the next week and a half latest. Ah it's nerve-racking, I've been chatting nonstop to family about it and they are sick of me at this point so figured I'd come here to get out my nervous jitters! Where are you all along in the process and are you applying to any other schools?

I have been committed to pace since march. However, I have recently gotten an acceptance at nyu's accelerated program. I am really struggling making the right decision. I was so set on pace, it was my top pick since its relatively affordable and faster. But, 80% of my friends and family are pushing me to NYU now.
My end goal is to be an ICU nurse and then become a CRNA. Everyone is telling me if I will be a CRNA eventually cost won't matter and that nyu will help me more than pace in the long run. However, nyu is DOUBLE the entire cost of my attendance at pace.. (116k total before fees). I do not know if that amount is worth the prestige and support NYU has. Pace will get me the same exact degree in shorter time. I know if I work hard I can accomplish the same things.Honestly, if finance was not a program I would choose NYU; it has been my dream school since I was younger. So overall logically, pace is the better pick, but emotionally I would like to be in NYU.
What would you do? I appreciate any input!
I got accepted to both Pace and NYU also. Finance is a big part which is partly why I choose Pace. Pace is also faster, you finish in 11 months. Whereas NYU is 15months, I rather get it done with in shorter time and start working. And honestly, doesn’t matter where you graduate, as long as you pass NCLEX at the end, it pretty much the same.

I agree with what Sica said. I once asked a RN from Hunter and she agreed that the most important thing is passing the NCLEX-RN.
I also got accepted into NYU and chose Pace. When considering the costs, it just did not seem worth it to me when both programs can move us forward to become a RN. And with Pace, it will be in less time and less cost too. Of course, everyone's preference is different! It's still your own personal decision.
For some things,we also want to follow our heart (as cliche as it sounds). I'm currently in a conflict between Stony and Pace too. My heart is set with Pace but Stony is much cheaper so I can relate to this struggle. Either way, I'm sure it'll work out no matter what decision we make. Good luck! ?
Hey guys! I was accepted into Pace as well as NYU and have been having difficulty deciding which one to attend. I was wondering if any of you have heard negative things about Pace... the only reason why I may lean towards attending NYU is I heard that Pace's retention rate is not so good. I heard from two people that you have to maintain a 77 or 80 average on exams in order to pass the exams. If anyone heard anything else I would greatly appreciate it!
The obvious pros of Pace is that it costs less and you finish quicker. But I am just worried about being able to meet the finish line to even take the NCLEX exam.
Hey guys I plan on applying for mercy accelerated nursing program for Spring of 2023. Currently these are my grades and I was winder If you guys think that I have a chance of getting in?
