ABSN Duke Fall 2010

Hi All!

I have decided to take the plunge and leave my career as a mental health therapist to gain a BSN in Nursing and hopefully move straight into MSN program. Is anyone else applying to Duke in the Fall??:yeah:

Don't be nervous, Jason. :) It's really nothing to be nervous about. If anything, the interviews seemed short to me... I couldn't believe when time was up.

And we're still here... been at the hotel all day, getting some serious cabin fever. Still not sure if it's safe to drive anywhere... we were supposed to leave tomorrow morning, but everything I'm reading is saying that the roads are going to be absolutely terrible until Monday!

Hey all!

Like twois (pronouced two eyes) :) I've been sitting in the Milinneum all day, snowed in. Yesterday was great. The interviews were straightforward and I will echo the rest of you when saying that everyone I met was very nice.

Jason... feel good about your chefness. One of the students that spoke during the student panel was a former pastry chef from San Fran. :)

Hey guys, I finally made it back to PA, woohoo! My original flight at 3:40 was cancelled, and I got changed to a 5:50 to Philly, which apparently happened to be the only flight leaving RDU tonight. It of course didn't leave until 7:30 but I'm just glad I got to leave at all. Anyway, like everyone has said, the interviews were not stressful at all. They were very laidback and definitely really short. Sorry I didn't get to meet anyone else besides Geneva, although she did describe who each of you were, so I think I remember seeing you all! Anyway, I hope you guys get home safely, and good luck to the last group!

I a so glad to hear it went well for everyone. I hope the sick people (you know who you are) are feeling better, and that everyone gets hoe fro the stor ok!

Apart from kebunt, did anybody else get their acceptance call?

Are they going to call every accepted student? or send a regular postal mail?

Feb 5th is the last interview date, so their final acceptance list would go out on 15th and not before that??

Based on what she said, they typically notify by email. Look for one entitled Adission Decision Available. There is a link in the email to your applyyourself account, and the decision is available there.

As far as the date goes, someone else would know better. :)

Thankyou very much kebunt. Were you asked to pay a deposit in 15 days from the date of your acceptance email?

Priston, we were told on Friday that we'd have three weeks to pay the deposit after the decisions go out.

Hi Kebunt....I saw your postings on University of Rochester also...you were accepted there also...have you chosen which school you'll accept? and why, pertell...?

Wait--3 weeks from the date of the letter??? What if you are waiting to hear back from other schools? Are you sure about that?
