ABSN CSULA Summer 2018

Published

Hello ALL!

I wanted to start a topic about ABSN program at CSULA for Summer 2018 and get some feedback about applying, stats, and more. I am looking to apply here and to other similar programs and I wanted feedback about your experiences.

Has anyone gotten a confirmation that their application was received?? I have not received any email.

@djpopstar

I am wondering the same. My individual score for reading is 78%, but my national percentile rank is 60%. Does this mean we need an individual score of >85% to have a national percentile rank of >75%?

I'm still waiting to receive a confirmation email. I haven't seen any posts yet saying that they received it. You think it'll happen sometime this week?

@mjnurse2020

I think so. i just hope they will make an exception if other stuff in our application are strong enough.

I have not heard from them either I mailed it Jan 8th priority mail so they should have received it Jan 9th. I check my email like three times a day waiting to hear from them....

Yeah I keep checking my email í ½í¸ What are everyone's stats going into the program?

same for me. i submitted my app in person on Jan 8 I believe and have received no email.

my stats are meh...

~ 3.25 cGPA

1st teas (national ranking) - ~ 40 % read, 99 % math, 90 % sci, 90 % eng. 81. % composite

2nd teas (national ranking) - ~ 80 % read, 99 % math, 85 % sci, 80 % eng. 82 % composite

EMT for 1.5 years - 1700 hours

CCE for 1.5 years - 320 hours

MA for ~ 1.5 years - 1000 hours

Pre-reqs are a mix of A/B ~ 3.5 pre-reqGPA.

Kind of scares me when I look at stats compared to previous CSULA ABSN programs (2017, 2016, 2015, etc) and how there isnt much people active on this thread.

Hey everyone! According to CSULA's FAQ page, the national percentile rank must be 75% or higher in all four categories for the TEAS (link below).

Also, my friend received an email on Friday indicating that they received his complete application. I still haven't received one yet.

It looks like they started inviting people for interviews around 1/25 last year into mid February. Hopefully we'll start hearing back soon! :nailbiting:

Where did you see 1/25? From what I can tell it was around 2/10....I'm hoping you are right because this wait is so hard!
